Happy New Year Neil,
Last year I helped so many members of Pickens Plan learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about conservation of power, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my electricity costs. Send me a friend request a to add me Neil, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.
BTW, Texas: I just posted an article link on my pickens page about Home Wind Systems in Texas. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "weak policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. Texas has created multiple sets of rules for loopholes and you have less rights than people in other states. You should read that article, important.
Neil, I just did the mapquest for the Pepsi Center-it's 21 miles from my house. The Denver light rail runs parallel to 225 N. and I-25, so it's accessible to Pepsi Center and Invesco easily.
Hi Neil, thanks for your e-mail. You are right, the rentals are cheaper east of E470 (toll road), nearer to DIA and there are ALOT of them because the developers have continued builiding, even though the sales market has slowed down. As far as biking to flights, that might be a little difficult because of the access road to DIA (Pena Blvd) is high speed, although I'm sure there is a route somehow that airport workers may use as an alternate route. The foothills are definitely much more scenic and beautiful, away from the maddening crowds, but would mean you'd have to have transportation. There are airport shuttles to and from most communities. There is an excellent light rail system that runs north and south through Denver & nearby towns (in fact, right to INvesco Field). I'm happy to help you in any way possible to find the right rental. One resource is www.Craiglist.org if you want to check online. I can tell you where the areas are. Are your dogs coming up with you on August 1st? Let's talk and I'll see if I can help in any way. Your work sounds really interesting and I can tell how committed you are...I will contact the local DNC offices to see how I might help with my schedule.
I was driving back from D/FW Airport to my then-home in Lubbock (just flown in from Rome on vacation) the morning my photo was taken in front of the Trent Mesa wind farm on I-20 between Abilene and Sweetwater. I've never lived in Abilene but I've been there alot on business and drive through every time I drive from Amarillo to Austin - which is alot - several times a year.
Hi Neil, this was my first visit to the site and I saw your profile and picture. My uncle spent most of his life in Abilene...I enjoyed reading your profile and commitment to this plan. I have a daughter living in Dallas. This proposal is exciting and I'm looking forward on learning as much as I can.

I am the one bent down closest to Boone, with the heart necklace.
Thank you!
