Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I have been following all laws and supporting all political parties involved in wind energy. I went as far as talks with Windstream to become a distributor to then sell them here in Oklahoma and start a company to fix/upkeep them. Funding fell through which sucks for everyone. I have seen the vision for Oklahoma years ago while in California and i am willing to do anything to see our state succeed with wind energy.
What excites you about this campaign?
The fact that the older generation is just as excited about wind energy as i have been for the past five years, makes me really hope for the future. I love to spend conversations talking about the possibilities of wind energy.
What do you want to do to help?
I would love to host a brainstorming session. I deal with the public well. As the face for the Zoo Amphitheatre, OKC for six years, working in Public Relations, is where I thrive. Let me be the voice. I have a lot to say.

Merry Christmas OPAL,
This year I have helped so many members learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about power use, conservation, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my energy costs. Send me a friend request a to add me OPAL, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.

BTW, oklahoma: I just posted an article about Home Wind Systems in oklahoma. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "soft policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. You should read that article, important.

Hello OPAL, These new roof mounting residential wind turbine kits shipping now. They are sleek and attractive, well designed. These are actually a home appliance on the roof, much like an antennae or satellite dish. They are as easy to install as other home appliances, dishwasher, etc. It's a nice clean way for you to begin a personal energy plan. These systems are inexpensive, easy to install, scaleable.

Your Wind blows stronger in the winter, Your Sun shines stronger in the summer months. This hybrid wind/solar system combines these cycles to give a more even flow of energy year round. This homeowner sized wind/solar system provides free power for your home. Many customers have found it easy to become customer/dealers of our kits. Customers can become a dealer with no further investment, they see quickly how people are easy to get interested.

I have used the same systems save money on my electricity costs and OPAL, you can too. Your local wind resources are so good in Oklahoma. Have a look at these windmaps and see can you pinpoint what number your area is in. Zone 2 is OK, anything over 2 is (very) good. First double check your wind resources from the map and links below.

OPAL,

So glad to have you on board! Thank you for your enthusiasm for Mr. Pickens Plan and we would certainly love to have your help!

The most important thing we can do at this stage is to grow our efforts. There are some really easy and fun things you can do to get our message out:

- Tell your friends and family to visit the Pickens Plan website at http://push.pickensplan.com. And get them to sign the Pickens Pledge.

- Go door-to-door in your community and tell others why you support my plan.

- Feel free to write and call your elected officials and demand they support alternative energy.

- Write a letter to the editor of your local, state or national newspaper convincing others to join our cause.

These are some things you can do to really spread the word about ending our dependence on foreign oil. The larger our New Energy Army, the more change we can effect in Washington during the first 100 days of the next administration.

Hi & thanks for adding me. I know we have lots of wind and sunshine here in south west Oklahoma. I want to know more about Hydrogen. Can wind and sun be converted into hydrogen then be transported? I would like to know more about fuel cells! The way I understand electricity is lots of it is wasted in order to produce enough for peak usage. I'm thinking if we use wind and solar to produce hydrogen then transport the hydrogen by rail to point closest for use.
The formula would be 100% electricity from sun, wind and water would be used to produce hydrogen as stored energy that can be converted back into electricity on an as needed basis’s through a fuel cell!

Hi OPal

CALLING ALL LEADERS!

We finally have petitions! "THE PLEDGE" is on the header between THE PLAN and DAILY PICKENS.

This is the best tool we could ask for. It is so much easier to get someone to sign a petition than to go online and join the plan as a member.

I have been test driving it for a few days and got 200 signatures rather eaasily. Most folks had seen the ads or seen Boone on the news. Most were eager to sign it and strongly support it. A few wanted to get more info- I handed them a business card with the website. Very few said no (2 or 3).

I hope you can ask all your "friends" to download a bunch of PLEDGES and fax them back to the office ASAP. THIS IS HOW WE BUILD AN ARMY much faster. Millions of signatures.

Thank you for all your efforts. We have a very strong team. Many ants can take the Hill!

Best
Kim

Hi Opal,

Welcome to the Pickens plan. We all share the same goal; to rid ourselves of foreign oil and clean up our environment for our children and grandchildren. Some of us just have a broader vision of what we need to do. Check out our group "Live Carbon Free" and see how we are promoting conservation and environmental stewardship as the bridge to future energy developments. Regardles of what we do, it will take some time to implement on a significant scale. For immediate results we can make a huge difference by conserving what we have. We would like for you to join our group and value your input.
