- I've watched the ads from the beginning and know w/ out a doubt that The Pickens Plan will and must work. American citizens simply cannot sit back and wait for the Government to do everything for us, thats how we got into this mess to start with...

- I am disabled/retired but I am willing to do anything that my health permits. I have more time than alot of folks that have to work everyday. I know how that is w/ raising a family, etc., etc. I have already forwarded The Pickens Plan to family and friends in several states as well as locally.

Hello To All, I feel so blessed this Holiday Season to be a part of The Pickens Plan. I really didn't need or want anything for Christmas this year and got the best gift of a lifetime... After you've had a chance to settle in, please let me know if there's anything I can do to help. The basic first steps are reviewing the current topics in the Forum, and inviting others to the website when you're comfortable. The people here want to do something to foster energy independence and those you invite will find that joining us is the right thing to do.
Here are further steps you might consider, some of which you may have already done.
- Sign up to lead or volunteer on the Local District page.
- Visit your My Energy page and get involved.
- Get involved with others in your City or State.
- Find and connect with a like-minded Group.
- Start or join a Campus/Alumni group at PickensU.
- Work your contacts to increase press coverage.
- Write to congressional representatives directly.
- Use Pickens Action buttons or call (202) 225-3121.
- Speak out for ending our dependence on foreign oil.
- Write letters to the editor of your local paper.
- Download flyers/etc from here or here.
- Download the Petition and ask others to sign it.
- Start a company to build wind turbines/solar panels.
- Start a financing firm to invest in those companies.
- Tell everyone you know about PickensPlan.com.
Decide for yourself what you can do, but definitely do something.

Time is of the essence. In only 2 weeks, the new Congress will be sworn in. There will be many lobbyists and special interests that will try to derail this effort for their own agenda.... only the threat of political suicide will keep Congress focused on the job of getting us to independance from foreign oil! The only way to do this is with sheer numbers!

Go to THE PLEDGE Lend your voice to the call for American energy independence Fill in the short, standard form.
Download the PETITION : get them signed, fax them in to the 888# at the bottom of the pledge, asap.
This is how we build our numbers fast! Be a leader, be a part of the "100 CLUB", by faxing in 100 signed pledge. Let Kim Anderson know when you are done and she will see that you are added to the list.
YOU CAN ALSO HELP BY BRINGING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN the site today, so that we can build a voice big enough that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who are trying to derail this historic effort.
On the upper right corner of Your Page, click on "States" to visit the Push Pickens Community for your state.
Contact and "Friend" the New Energy Army Regional Leader for your state; you can find them to the right, in the Featured Members section. Let him/her know that I sent you there and you are interested in becoming an organizer.

PICKENS U We are recruiting "Campus Coordinators" for colleges and universities to represent the Pickens Plan on campus. We are looking for someone who can create a college page on the Pickens Plan site and also on Facebook encouraging folks to sign up for the Pickens Plan.
