At this point - my interest lies in becoming less dependant on foriegn oil; whether it be solar, wind, nuclear. I don't think we can focus on just ONE alternate method, but rather lets explore MULTIPLE methods and keep an open mind on the future and alternate possibilities.
No I did not listen to Larry King last night...when men like him talk I am like the Peanuts...I hear blah, blah, blah, blah!!! That monotone voice drives me insane! I like to be drawn into a subject, not wondering if anyone is near that will shoot me before I die of boredom!!!
OK now to be serious, what did he say, in a nutshell?
You are invited to join the Medium-speed vehicle group. The purpose of this group is to inform fellow Floridians about medium-speed electric vehicles and to encourage them to contact their state representatives about passing legislation for medium-speed electric vehicles. If you would like to would like to learn more about MSEVs please visit this group.
I have spoken as an advocate for many non-for-profit groups for over 25 years. In addition, I have been a spokesperson for a variety of corporations, from advocating to representation.

Hey Paul,
I have an idea to merge two teghnologies that are currently available to develop or improve a Wind Generated Electric Car.
Here is how i believe it to work An electric car with charged batteries from someone like the folks at http://www.phoenixmotorcars.com/vehicles/index.php will get moving,
Place a wind generator from someone such as http://www.skystreamenergy.com/skystream/in the engine bay, perhaps with the
fan blades pointing down toward the road to reduce forward friction and drag.
A funnel to capture the air passing under the vehicle and flowing past the tips of the blades (which are of a cup shape may be in order) and out the back.
Once the car is moving, the wind flowing past the blades will generate power and keep the batteries charged.
Once the batteries are charged the generator could shut down or come on as needed, This would most likely envolve reduction gears etc.
If not fully self powered it perhaps could at least extend the current range of an electric vehicle (which I believe tesla motors are getting about 220 miles on a charge.
I don,t believe my idea is perpetual motion.(Motion that continues indefinitely without any external source of energy; impossible in practice because of friction) As most cars use gasoline as the external force for energy , my idea has the wind as power for the electric auto.
I am not smart enough in such fields to figure this out , i am only hoping to reach someone that is. . Please give some thought.
If you could, have them deliver to us the first protypes and stock in the company.
Thanks,
HAPPY TRAILS
