Contact and "Friend" the New Energy Army Regional Leader for your state; you can find them to the right, in the Featured Members section. Let him/her know that I sent you there and you are interested in becoming an organizer.
THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY …to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.
PICKENS U We are recruiting "Campus Coordinators" for colleges and universities to represent the Pickens Plan on campus. We are looking for someone who can create a college page on the Pickens Plan site and also on Facebook encouraging folks to sign up for the Pickens Plan.
If you are connected to a college or university in your state, can be a campus coordinator, or can help find a campus coordinator, please let me know so we can get the process rolling.
PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not
1) increase our membership
2) influence public policy.
3) If you know someone who is in the press, or someone who blogs, get them to cover this and ask those in the public eye to support this plan.

I should have added the Utility company rates WILL be going up nearly every year. One more reason to find a way to make Alternative Energy work.

A rebate would be great, but with this Congress it is doubtful. If we were a bank, or investment company they would probably just hand you the money to install whatever you wanted. Since it is Alternative Energy, not so likely.
In our case, with the Windspire, and with other types of wind and solar products, tax credits are vital. With a 30% Fed credit, 20% State credit, in some cases a 10% county and/or city credit it makes Alternative Energy well worth looking around for some cash. The Windspire can also be depreciated 100% over the first five years you own it. Makes it a great deal and the Windspire cost is only $6,000.00.
I like your idea of the Rebate but with this Congress I am not counting on it.
