Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:

I am familiar with it, have had neighbors use solar panels, grew up with Amish farmers using wind to pump water, my uncle built a propane car engine years ago. I want to put up solar panels to reduce our energy consumption. I think we need to put windmills out of site on the ocean where they can generate useful energy.

What excites you about this campaign?

We have to stop the erosion of our monetary system and the waste of energy resources. We need to get politicians to understand we the taxpayers are serious. I have been writing Maryland congress people. This plan is right. T Boone Pickens, I salute you. Lets do this.

What do you want to do to help?

Anything and everything. I would like to become a part of the program by raising money, testifying on capital hill, do research. I am a Marketer my profession is putting together campaigns to make ideas come to fruition.

After you familiarize yourself with the information at this website, a wealth of additional information is available. We can look to Europe as our inspirational model for developing sustainable renewable energy. Countries like Denmark, Germany and Spain lead the way in this effort and have been there for the past 10-20 years - even more. Germany’s commitment through cooperatives and local municipalities has installed 19,000+ wind turbines and millions of solar collectors, both for solar hot water and electricity feeding the power grid.

The onshore and offshore installation of wind turbines in Denmark and Germany are producing 20% of all their electrical needs; in Spain, as much as 38% (please see examples in the photos on my page). We are 10 years behind in implementation compared to these countries!

I mention these examples to give us a direction for inspiration and point to where we could be heading with the Pickens Plan. The technology is already there and we do not have to reinvent the wheel. Here are a few great videos to see: “Saved by the Sun” a PBS NOVA video, and “A Crude Awakening” by Basil Gemlpke, et al. Americans need to mobilize and pressure our government representatives both on the state and national level. The Pickens Plan is a good place to foster discussion and share ideas and PUSH this plan!
