- 1. Years ago I lived in western NY State where hydroelectric power was cheap and plentiful,
2. I drive a hybrid; I'd love to someday drive a vehicle that uses a 100% renewable source of energy.
3. We supplement our winter heating with wood; to the point one year the utility company investigated me because they thought I must be stealing electricity - - our use was so low!
- What excites you about this campaign?
- I can see that IT WILL WORK. It's a start, and a good one. It's not a comprehensive new energy policy, but it can be implemented fairly quickly. OUR ONLY WAY TO REDUCE OIL PRICES IS TO NOT NEED OIL. AS LONG AS THERE IS HUGE DEMAND, WE ARE AT THE MERCY OF THE PRODUCERS AND SUPPLIERS. THERE IS NO VIABLE COMPETITION. This will bring about NEEDED REAL COMPETITION for energy supply!
Right now, we have no LEADERSHIP and we have no STATESMEN in government. Instead, we have POLITICIANS. The difference is, a statesman makes decisions based on what's best for the country. A politician makes decisisons based on what's best for the politician!
