Hi. I live about 30 minutes from Waco Texas & have some land outside the city limits. I was wondering if you would have any interest in putting any of your windmills on the property . You are welcome to do so without any charge from me. The land is flat, no trees or anything in the way & is wide open and gets alot of wind. If you are interested contact me at passionpear@aol.com I tried to find a direct e-mail address for you & was unable to do so. I hope this e-mail finds it's way to you. Thanks for your time, effort & wonderful ideas. Anne Toy

Happy New Year Pickens,
Last year I helped so many members of Pickens Plan learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about conservation of power, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my electricity costs. Send me a friend request a to add me Pickens, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.

BTW, Texas: I just posted an article link on my pickens page about Home Wind Systems in Texas. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "weak policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. Texas has created multiple sets of rules for loopholes and you have less rights than people in other states. You should read that article, important.

Hey young man;
While greeting new members I came across this letter. I came from another nice young man Tom Hanson time is tickin on the big three.
If possible coud you drop him a short note.
Tom

Dear Mr. Pickens:

The purpose of this letter is to ask you to intervene in the negotiations between the US Congress and the Detroit Big Three automakers.

You are already doing so much to try to help the nation to avoid disaster, it is embarrassing to have to ask you to do more. Unfortunately, you are possibly the only person on Earth who can act effectively at this crucial time.

If you are willing to take on the responsibility, you could potentially solve the Chicken-Egg problem that faces the automakers and their customers. All you would need to do is to slightly revise your vision for the Pickens Plan.

I am basing my request upon my understanding of your plan:

First, you have proposed that we convert heavy trucks to run on natural gas.
Second, you have asserted that there is sufficient natural gas available in the territorial United States to support transportation fuel needs for ten years.
Third, by implication, I deduce you believe that the gas can be extracted without causing environmental harm.

If all three of these assumptions are correct, then I am asking you to take this golden opportunity to play a crucial role in shaping the decision making process between the Detroit automakers, and the US Congress.

If Congress were to give you the responsibility, and the support in the form of repayable loans, could you manage installation of Natural Gas refueling pumps at every existing gasoline dispensing location in the territorial US?

If the answer is yes, then it would be reasonable to ask the Detroit automakers to stop making gasoline-only vehicles, and begin immediately to add dual fuel capability to every vehicle they build.

It isn't even necessary for the vehicles to roll off the factory floor with dual fuel capability working. What is necessary is that the systems are designed so that after-market upgrade kits can be installed quickly and easily and legally.

On the other hand, for those manufacturers with the capability and flexibility and motivation to make dual fuel vehicles that run on gasoline and on natural gas right out of the showroom, the opportunity to take a leadership position in the marketplace will be significant.

Above all, the immediate start of manufacture of dual fuel vehicles will give the new Administration the flexibility it needs to make changes in how energy is purchased by Americans in the years ahead.

If you will take the dramatic step of offering to supervise the buildout of natural gas refueling capabilities at all existing gasoline dispensing stations, you may get the opportunity to solve the Chicken-Egg problem, and Detroit automakers will be able to build and distribute dual fuel vehicles.

Best wishes for success with your campaign,

Tom Hanson

Please thank Lyn Watson. She started this push for petitions and initiated the ticker/counter ideas as well. We are a good group, we need your support on this, quickly.

Hi Folks!

I have welcomed many of the last 75,000 new members and started the Welcome Wagon. We have
more than a fisful of folks who are taking the driver's seat, in what I consider to be the most important function of this site. The groups are wonderful and an important component for the proliferation of ideas, new technologies and maintaining enthusiasm, however, we absolutely must give Boone a huge number of supporters to make it POLITICAL SUICIDE for Congress to ignore, and fight back the lobbyists and special interests. This is our revolution, our Boston Tea Party.

It is humbling to see thousands join each day who want to help, and greatly dissapointing to think that without a personal welcome they will just languish. No suggestions of what to do, how to really help, other than "spread the word", and where to find the groups. We give them actionable items to concentrate on immediately.

The next step, which I hve spoken to Lexi Fish about last week, is to get petitions- electronic, emailable, and downlable. I have done a test drive for the last 2 days. In less than a few hours work I have over 200 signatures. Thanks to the effort Boone has done and the considerable money spent, most had heard his message and were eager to sign. The ones that had not heard the plan where easily brought on board with a few concise bullet points. EVERYONE wants to end our dependance on foreign oil. Only one man did not want to sign. I am sure he was confused wth a local opposition group to our first turbine. I have been involved in communiyt leadership before, and this is the easiest "ask" ever. I want to be able to fax these back to your office. I recommend that there is a line at the bottom of the downladable petitions that the volunteer can sign to attest personally to the authenticity of the signers. On each line I get the name and address. People usually do not want to give emails, so I did not ask. I did however hand them one of my business cards witht he www.pickensplan.com address on it the back.

MY DREAM- is to have Boone walk into Congress with box after box with millions of American signatures and literally put them at the feet of Congress. The folks who get the most signatures get to carry a box. I would like to carry the first. My 800 plus friends are chomping at the bit to get going. If we put together the friends of all the drivers there are several thousand super committed and passionate folks. We can adjust the greeting immediately to get everyone onto the petition signing campaign.

There should be a counter somewhere so we can collectively see how the numbes are rising, and encourage the push for more.

I am available to help with anything. Please update me on the status of the petitions. As I have done it for 2 days, I am available to answer any questions. 401.245.6217 home, 401.247.0980 my business.

I am an entrepreneur. I own a home store and do interior design work. I have 12 employees. My husband is a GP in several large Private equity and wealth management firms. I firmly believe that if we can get Congress to incentivize AE and RE, there will be billions of dollars following in Boone's wake. I look forward to the day when I can thank Boone, and all of you in person.

Best Personal Regards,
Kim Anderson

I wholeheartedly support the petition drive! If approved, I will personally do this in my local community! I'm already assembling the files to print for flyers, biz cards n such for WHEN this gets approved! I am also willing to be the guinea pig for a "beta test " and give a test run then report in the results!

The petition drive is a no-brainer, though a good brain or two was behind the idea itself! I don't for a minute doubt that all 145,000 current members support a petition drive both on-line (electronic) and off-line (smiling face). It's a great way to accelerate the momentum and get the actual numbers up.
