What excites you about this campaign?

I believe to the bone of my being that our dependency on traditional energy (oil) is the cause of the economical crisis we are in. I believe it is responsible for inflation, which means I blame it for the interest rate increases, which means I blame it for the bubble-bursted housing market, the crappy return (or lack thereof) that I am getting on my investments, etc. And the stimulus checks given out to tax-filing americans could have been used for a cause like this instead - that just fuels my fire about it.

I am a corporate tax consultant - working specifically in the field of Research & Development Tax. I work primarily with Manufacturing companies & some software development companies. I do not have an engineering degree, but have been told I have an engineering mind. I may not be able to design any solution, but I may be able to find resources to make such solutions. It seems like manufacturing will be a major step in the right direction & connecting with manufacturing companies will be critical. Let's make it happen.

It's all about conservation of power, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my electricity costs. BTW, Texas: I just posted an article link on my pickens page about Home Wind Systems in Texas. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "weak policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. Texas has created multiple sets of rules for loopholes and you have less rights than people in other states. You should read that article, important.

TRANSPORTATION is the master key to basic survival, and the cornerstone of the economy. We all know that transportation presently depends on oil production, and oil production is peaking. We must focus first on transportation – it is the highest priority. The PickensPlan to transition vehicles to natural gas is a great start toward 100% energy independence, but is a stop-gap measure till we can transition to all electric transportation. Alternative energy is a major focus of our program.
Right now, we are in need of people willing to sponsor our efforts or to finding sponsorship for us.
We believe this can be the beginning of an effort that can spread to other areas of the country and create a critical mass of new technology ideas and innovative technologists to meet the challenges.

Thanks for the offer. My need right now is for funding to engage management, scientific and engineering assistance. My first step is to get this thing properly engineered and a genetic algorithm fluid dynamics analysis , which will probably entail lots of time and experienced technicians on a supercomputer.
Once the computer selects the most likely configurations, THEN is the time to consider building prototypes to build and compare their performance. Computer analysis can only take it so far, because the characteristics of vortices are still poorly understood, even among scientists who study them for a living.
I am not a scientist, engineer or technician, and after trying to sell this technology to government and industry for years, and trying to supervise construction of a precision prototype myself, I have had to admit to myself that I'm a lousy business man, perhaps because I don't enjoy BS very much.
This should be a miltibillion-dollar business, and a dominant technology by now. I hate to admit it, but my personal shortcomings are depriving the world of the benefits of it.
I'm working on finding smart, energetic, ethical business people with assets or the ability to raise them to get this thing off the ground.

Thanks for your interest. There is an animation of how the device works on my Pickins page videos of the working model working are pretty boring, because "you can't even tell it's running", as one wind power expert commented after observing it a work.
