Dear Ralph,
I would like to thank you again for coming to the meeting. It was a pleasant experience and I believe this group will grow into a powerful force in “beating the local politicians over the head.” I will gladly send you the fliers as attachments if you wish to view/print them. Let me know what your preferred e-mail address is. I will also send the meeting notes to you so that you can see who is working in which area to move this group forward.
Thanks again,
Nate Kirchner

October 1st meeting:
The original plan is evolving to the next stage(see original description). It has become increasingly clear that telethons, though useful will only do so much. This meeting is going to need to go over more than the organization of a telethon. It will be unlikely that we can start waves of telethons.
The Pickens Plan needs more than that if it is to become big in Tucson. So here are the new plans for the meeting. I propose we set some organization in motion with some of the following tasks:
-Discussion of levels of involvement people are willing to do.
-Break up tasks to work on strengths.
-Develop plans to raise awareness.
-Pledges for energy independence
-Discuss volunteer ideas.
-Create structure to avoid duplication of efforts.
-Group think/meet new people for new ideas.
-Create resource lists
-Set up future meetings and optional phone lists
Teaming up is encouraged but not necessary; there are plenty of people who work just fine on their own without direction. Others become synergistic and can accomplish far more with teams.

I would like to coordinate the efforts of a few willing volunteers to put together a telethon to get people on to the Pickens Plan. This event is just a meeting to set up the details. I am hoping that this will start a wave of telethons to sign up more members.
(do you have an idea that I should add?) tell me now before we meet and I will try to include what I can.

Ralph,
Look for us THIS WEEKEND at the 2008 Arizona GreenSummit and Expo, Sep 5 & 6, 9AM - 5PM, Phoenix Convention Center.
Please plan to attend the 2008 Arizona GreenSummit and Expo, regarding ecological concerns as well as alternative energy, including Solar and Wind power generation.
Check out these pages for details. There should be nearly 10,000 attendees, as well as many vendors, demonstrations,
and of course conferences. But it will not be nearly as fun without YOU! http://www.greensummit.net
