Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
In parallel, and inspired by Mr. Pickens ideas, I have submited plans on Wind Power to the City of Meadows Place, TX.( see attached MSWorks files. ) Nothing may come of my plans. Houston is clearly a City designed around cars.
What excites you about this campaign?
It appears to be a grand plan that can work. I endorse it for all the good reasons explained in your video's, articles and commercials. All of us should take a look at our own back yards and try to make changes locally.
What do you want to do to help?
Public Transportation can run on energy devrived from local Wind Turbine Farms. I can provide updates to my efforts on this webpage. What else could I do for you?

Happy New Year Rand,
Last year I helped so many members of Pickens Plan learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about conservation of power, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my electricity costs. Send me a friend request a to add me Rand, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.

BTW, Texas: I just posted an article link on my pickens page about Home Wind Systems in Texas. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "weak policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. Texas has created multiple sets of rules for loopholes and you have less rights than people in other states. You should read that article, important.

Hello Rand

Let me introduce you to two company that you can use to determine what wind speed or resources your area has. One company is AWSTruewind.com and second company is 3tier.com. Both of these company have an interactive system that uses "google earth" format that will give you some ideas about the wind resources at 100 meters ( 300 feet). You want to know if your area would have the potential for HAG ( High altitude generators) You then must use the 1/7 law to determine the probably wind speeds at the height of 600 meters. The formula is wind speeds(W)= wind speed at 100 meters(w(o) x (600/100) to 4/7 power. Hope this helps. f not you find me at skype as clyde.childers and you can talk me.

Everyone,

The proposed plans outlined in above two attachments have been acknowledged by City officials and one of the two referenced in attached *.gif displayed below.

The next step as described in City of Meadows Place newsletter is to have each proposal or idea posted, prioritized, promoted and perhaps implemented.

I note that although the proposed monorail system was given visibility, perhaps benefiting from resident familiarity, the prerequisit wind turbine farm did not gain any mention.

I wonder if people in general do not understand anything other than oil, and gas, in basic terms. Maybe wind turbines are "way out there", and not too readily understood by too many.

My next posting may be when the proposed local wind turbine farm is posted by City officials along with any feedback. I will share it all here. I can then prepare to endorse my proposal to City officials in person.

Best Regards,
Rand

I like the idea of wind power in Galveston. Let's start sketching some ideas and figure out the next steps to putting this into action. Our real estate division can find the perfect spot once we determine the criteria.
