Mechanical Engineer recently retired from Intel.
Avid reader about global warming and energy policy.
My PhD father led an underground coal gasification demo in 80's by LLRL.
Recently leased family land in Kentucky to drill gas wells.
Stongly against corn ethanol & oil shale - competition for scarcer water and food which will become critical by 2030.

What excites you about this campaign?

I advocate plug-in hybrids using renewable electicity, but adding natural gas as a bridge fuel especially to replace deisel would dramatically reduce greenouse effects of black soot as well. Many truck stops already sell propane so adding natural gas should be easy infrastructure.

Wind and thermal solar are now priced to compete. I thank you for telling the truth about peak oil and over-projections by oil companies and producing nations. We should save Anwar and offshore oil for petro-chemicals for future generations.

What do you want to do to help?

1. You put prop 10 on the California ballot, but it includes consumer tax credits which I oppose. More info might sway me - and I can sway others.

2. Your congressional testimony was not succinct enough about what gov't policies you need to make this go faster. Can I participate?

3. PG&E is investing in thermal solar in the Mojave - also potential for another 20% in 10 years. You need to learn more to advocate it as well as you do for wind.
