My home appliances which I was able to afford run on natural gas because natural gas is the best thing that can happen to a country too long under the control of the dependence of foreign oil and its important to support the Boone Pickens Plan to bring new energy plans to the country in regions where more jobs are badly needed and natural gas can help the people who need it.

Natural gas in my opinion is much better for cooking and dries clothes in less minutes that it takes an electric dryer, time to dry so no way I would trade in my natural gas appliances for electric appliances, even if they were brand new because not only is natural gas cheaper, but its safer and if we have it we should find the courage and intelligence to use it as the Boone Picken Plan proposes.

Wind energy and solar energy are also two big needs in a country where the wind and the sun have taken over the climate and which we could control, had we the courage as a country to accept its time to turn to wind and the sun for energy at home and cleaner coal with mandatory laws to stop air pollution from ending earth as we know it.

What excites you about this campaign?

I strongly feel that Boone Pickens has hit the nail right on the head by rising as a vocal speaker on the issue of domestic drilling to free us of foreign oil and that now is the tiempo/time, to show the foreign lands, that with natural gas we can go a long way when Americans work together with our natural resources the land and god gave us.

I think Boone Pickens has opened up a lot of doors and that it was about time the intelligent people in this country who really know what our country stands for, stand up and educate Americans hungry for the information that will free us from the dependence of foreign oil, and that Boone Pickens, does just that.

What do you want to do to help?

I want to spread the word about the need by the United States to free itself from foreign oil by beginning to admit as a country that its time to not just lift the ban on domestic drilling, but to start today searching for the pipelines all the way from Alaska that will help the country rid ourselves from the obsession of foreign oil where foreign corporations control our gasoline prices from their thrones while we sit on the throne of natural gas and look the other way.

I want to spread the word on the internet through the political blogs, "Sodahead," mainly, being one of my favorite blogs, besides all the other blogs out there, about the importance of giving our attention to the rich natural gas deposits which can free is tomorrow of foreign oil and give us today a cleaner and safer natural mineral to enjoy as so is natural gas.

Thank you Mr. Boone Pickens for bringing forth the alternatives to the American dependence of foreign oil and may this country and this Congress understand that what hurts one American hurts all Americans and Boone Pickens understands that quite well, which is why his plan demands our attention be placed on the availability of natural gas instead of being slaves to foreign oil.

It's all about conservation of power, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my electricity costs. BTW, Texas: I just posted an article link on my pickens page about Home Wind Systems in Texas. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "weak policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. Texas has created multiple sets of rules for loopholes and you have less rights than people in other states. You should read that article, important.

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONSWe need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy. If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.
