I intend to create an off-grid home that would be a model for an energy independent, Carbon fixing, energy producing home.

- I am a manufacturing engineer, so my plan is to use the research of others and combine that information to produce an integrated system.

Fans of Sci-Fi, and anyone who’s seen a pneumatic tube system at a bank will know what you’re talking about. A completed system would yield the energy savings you describe. But does that take into account the energy used to cut miles to tunnels into the earth? And what happens after the system is completed, you get on the transport, a minor quake happens and leaks natural gas into the vacuum side of the tunnel? Answer: It sucks to be you.
TRANSPORTATION is the master key to basic survival, and the cornerstone of the economy. We all know that transportation presently depends on oil production, and oil production is peaking. We must focus first on transportation – it is the highest priority. The PickensPlan to transition vehicles to natural gas is a great start toward 100% energy independence, but is a stop-gap measure till we can transition to all electric transportation. Electric energy is strained without adding transportation demands; so we must drastically improve efficiency .
