This group will focus on CNG fueled trucks and the future of the trucking industry in a green economy. Truck drivers and trucking company owners are invited to contribute ideas and discuss these issues here.
Not with current EPA regulations. This is where things REALLY NEED TO CHANGE! As I understand it, you can purchase and pay a "fly-by-night" shop to install a non-EPA certified CNG kit for $2000-4000. An EPA-certified shop charges $10000-15000 for a…
Why can't Pickens change his tune a little bit and address the CNG vehicle and filling station issues head-on? You guys are absolutely right--since we, the taxpayers now basically own GM, their upper management executives need to do get on the ball…
Welcome to the Colorado 1st Congressional District Group for the New Energy Army! If you live in CO-01, please join us to learn more about Pickens Plan events and activities taking place in our District.
Efficiency is definitely a good thing, but the real issue is legislation. As it is right now in my home state of Colorado, it's very hard to get a vehicle to run on natural gas. There are two ways to do it:
1) Legally, using EPA-certified parts inst…
Welcome to the Natural Gas Discussion Group where members of the New Energy Army meet to discuss ways in which America's natural gas resources can bring energy independence to the American people.
Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
biodiesel and also Waste Vegetable Oil in Benz turbo diesel wagon...unfortunately that sweet ol' car was destroyed by a Mexican illegal immigrant with no insurance and no license.
Now it's all about Natural Gas. My dad's giving me his 2001 Ford F-150, which just happens to be a prime candidate for conversion to run on ratural gas. I'm also thinking about getting certified to install CNG vehicle systems.
What excites you about this campaign?
This campaign is the only one that is realistic in terms of replacing the raw energy we now get from foreign oil.
Solar, electric, wind, geothermal, biofuels, they're all great, and I'm excited about them all (especially NanoSolar's metal-substrate CIGS panels and Mascoma's cellulosic CBP) but they WILL NOT PUSH TRUCKS AND PRODUCTS TO MARKET!
Americans depend on oil for ALL the stuff we use. Everything! It's all moved by trucks and diesel fuel, which comes from oil, 68% of which we import.
What do you want to do to help?
spread the word! Convert my vehicle to Compressed Natural Gas and proudly show off the CNG bumper sticker.

Welcome!
We are a voluntary community of individuals who are placing our combined support behind T. Boone Pickens and his efforts to send our government a clear (heard) message that we must reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil through the use of all domestic energy alternatives. This site is a place to interact with fellow Pickens Plan supporters, keep up with events and opportunities to help get more involvement. On the home page, click on Daily Pickens to hear the latest from Boone.
We need to Push.PickensPlan.com – or “Push” as we like to call it.
Our future really does depend on us at this point in time!
If not now, WHEN? If not you, WHO? Look up your regional leader. Also, Click on (Group) Guides and materials.
If able, Check out cafepress.com for more advertizing material.
Again Welcome; Tom
I am proud to put my efforts towards this cause.
Well as they say (the large lady voiced the end). Neither candidate openly gave his support outright for our plan. Both new about it and to a degree felt the intense support behind it. It goes back to another old saying, on the political platform be careful how far you put your foot in the door.
Keep in mind As Sara Lee tells us (you cannot please all the people all the time).

Hi Rich!
Can you help with petitions?
Welcome to an exciting time at Pickens Plan! We have grown to almost 1.4 million suporters since June. There are now less than 70 days until Inauguration Day.
The Senate's "Gang of 20" and Thomas Friedman, celebrated columnist and author, have all stated that the only way to get the action we need on energy is to build this grass roots effort to un-ignorable heights. (Read at DAILY PICKENS)
Many hands make light work. Please download the petition and get 10 signed pledges faxed in asap. More if you can. It is easy, Boone has done the hard work already. We need to spread the word AND take names.
3. fax them in to the 888# at the bottom of the pledge, asap.
Gratefully
Kim
Please congratulate our two newest 100CLUB members. 100CLUB is for those that fax/send 100 or more signatures.
1. Jeff Greene with Wise Gas, Inc is developing the natural gas infrastructure in Florida and was able to promote the Pickens Plan through their website www.wisegasinc.com and by handing out water to voters and soliciting their support.

2. Gary C. Boldt worked for several weeks on this and did not let an election day car accident prevent him from getting the job finished on that day!

Please visit both men and thank them personally for their outstanding efforts!
Welcome and THANK YOU for joining the Pickens Plan. I just wanted to let you know that a real person out here appreciates you taking that first step.
After you've had a chance to settle in, please let me know if there's anything I can do to guide your path. The basic first steps are reviewing the current topics in the Forum, and when you are comfortable, letting others know about the website. The people here are interested in making the plan a success and those you invite should be able to see for themselves that this is the right place to be.
Here are further steps you might consider.
- Visit the My Energy page and get involved.
- Work your contacts to increase press coverage.
- Write to congressional representatives directly.
- Use Pickens Action buttons or call (202)225-3121.
- Speak out for ending our dependence on foreign oil.
- Write letters to the editor of your local paper.
- Download flyers/etc from here or here.
- Download the Petition and ask others to sign it.
- Start a company to build wind turbines/solar panels.
- Start a financing firm to invest in those companies.
- Tell everyone you know about PickensPlan.com.
Decide for yourself what you can do, but definitely do something.
