Hi Richard:

Witness the fiasco of our Government and Wall Street. I'm disgusted with both major parties and candidates. Our government and both parties, right to the top, are owned, paid-for and operated by the banks & financial institutions, oil companies, major government contractors, pharmaceutical companies and international governments through 3500+ hired and fund lobbyists.

Until we take a stand on principal and break the back of such influences on government policy, the screwed-up 'bail out' will be a 'good old boys club' of greed first and our government will go back to 'business as usual' Sure, they will throw us a bone to shut the public up, but be assured the future will be the same old routine; influence peddling, fattening politicians retirements and perks and the 'me first; long before any meaningful changes. Consider that both major parties have nuclear power plants central to their plans (non-economic life cycle and more nuclear waste) which will dominate awarded energy budgets.

Witness the power both parties have over the electorate and the media. There has been a 'black-out' by the media from any reporting, discussion or participation of any independent candidate since the primaries. The Presidential Commission, owned by both major parties, has black-balled any participation of any Independent candidate in any presidential debate. Censorship lives. Why? This was and is an organized effort to confine the public to believing that they have only two choices to decide between. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Accordingly, the most important single current action, that any of us can make, is to cast our presidential vote for an independent candidate and party (pick your flavor). They all support Pickens and a focus on enegry independence.

Over 40% of the entire electorate has already taken the time and effort to re-register as an Independent. If only 25-30% of the electorate would cast this "none of the above" or 'protest vote', then several important things would happen;

1. Would deny a mandate to the winning clown and new administration to continue with this madness.
2. Would establish a voter's block (our voices) that all politicians would have to pander to for the next four years. ''Puts a 'check' on their actions.
3. Would establish viability for a third party in this country (so badly needed).
4. Would put the do-nothing 'Congress On Notice' of loosing their jobs in two years (that will wake them up).
5. Would send an earthquake magnitude 9 message to Washington and the Belt-way bandits, the "we the people are taking back our country"; a message that would heard around the world.
6. Would give us a voice to demand a specific energy plan towards green independence.

Yes, I'll be voting for an Independent; probably Bob Barr.

You have a great day,

Walter
