I just had a chance to see The Usual Suspects on TV. I had seen it years ago but had forgotten most of it except for the fact that I figured out that Kevin Spacey was Keyser Soze a long time before the end sequence. There was one piece of dialogue that stuck with me this time, though, and it seemed to speak more to post 9/11 America than to pre 9/11 America, which may be the reason that I hadn't remembered it the first time I saw it. Thanks for that great link to the passive solar heating article.
I built a new home ten years ago and used six inch super insulated walls and Andersen double glazed windows. Our Master bedroom and living room have plenty of south facing windows and the sun keeps the rooms at 70 F all day and then we close heavy blinds all night. It works great doer us. I have also turned my furnace down to 125 F for the hot water baseboard heating system. We are keeping an eye on the oil consumption.
Thanks for the link!
