The Usual Suspects, The War on Terror and the Picken's Plan

I just had a chance to see The Usual Suspects on TV. I had seen it years ago but had forgotten most of it except for the fact that I figured out that Kevin Spacey was Keyser Soze a long time before the end sequence. There was one piece of dialogue that stuck with me this time, though, and it seemed to speak more to post 9/11 America than to pre 9/11 America, which may be the reason that I hadn't remembered it the first time I saw it. The dialogue went something like this, while Spacey was being… Continue

Hello. My name is Adam. I have been developing an incredible new design of windmill. This project is in jeopardy as my financial backer has defaulted and now relatively minor debts are becoming legal issues. This project holds the promise of reducing wind power costs by 1/2 and also providing large amounts for lower investments. Also these machines can be installed on existing wind farms to increase output on the same real estate as these machines utilize wind 100 ft & below. I need help so I am reaching out. Adam

Hi Richard, you comment is very helpful. Thank you very much. I just uploaded a photo and comment about a very popular micro home in Europe. It's in the photos on my Pickens home page.
Thanks,

Hi Richard!
Thanks for that great link to the passive solar heating article.
I built a new home ten years ago and used six inch super insulated walls and Andersen double glazed windows. Our Master bedroom and living room have plenty of south facing windows and the sun keeps the rooms at 70 F all day and then we close heavy blinds all night. It works great doer us. I have also turned my furnace down to 125 F for the hot water baseboard heating system. We are keeping an eye on the oil consumption.
Thanks for the link!

Journalist? Good, keep us honest Richard, and thanks again for joining, and letting me SPAM your list a little.
I won't do that again, but I was hoping that more people with an environmental slant would find their way here.
It's not just a balance sheet of profit or national defense.

Wind & Solar are eco-friendly, and NG is a better bridge to other forms of alternative energy than shipping our hard earned $$ overseas.

I just wanted to introduce myself. I’m very excited about our community because I’m also a member of one.org (U2 – Bono – World Hunger) and have personally seen the results of people banning together and influencing our government. The Internet has made it possible. Please keep in touch. All the best, Luis Garcia…
