Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I have long been a fan of wind power and T Boone Pickens. As a former resident of Illinois I have seen the wind farms there and in California. I think they are beautiful. Aiken, SC is the support city for the Savannah River National Lab, where they are working on fuel cells, but I like this plan because the technology for natural gas vehicles is already
in place.
What excites you about this campaign?
We have to stop this sillyness of importing oil, and sending our money out of the country. Our balance of trade is so out of whack that America will be bankrupt in a hundred years or less. By harnessing wind we can have a cheap energy source, and keep the money at home . When energy costs rise in other countries there will be an opportunity to have higher paying manufacturing jobs return. We MUST do this. As a Realtor in Aiken, I want to help people get off the "oil addiction", even though our gasoline prices are among the lowest in the country, they are still too high, and won't get a whole lot cheaper.
What do you want to do to help?
To start, I will send a link to this web site to others. I will try to act as a clearing house for ideas from other members.

Hi Richard!

It has been a while since we kept in touch last!

We are now over 1.2 million suporters. We will need many more if we are to beat back the damn lobbyists and special interests. Can you help with the pledges? Every American needs to sign on. With pledges we can fan out and reach so many. It is an easy ask- Boone has done the hard work. I was able to get 300 signed in the first 4 days - everyone wants to to get off of foreign oil. We may never have a golden opportunity like this again!
ARE YOU IN?

Best
Kim

Richard,
I have been very busy over the past 30 days getting as many people together to move the funding plan in the correct direction. We are faced with a problem that it is obvious our government does not have a clue. We can as Americans make a change. Please go to www.usasolution.org the state of Ohio is now going to take the lead in this financial and energy mess that we are in. We have been hood winked into believing that the banks need to be paid first and that energy is something that needs a long debate. I and other business men in this state are taking the bull by the horns and not going to let the next president go into office without having a plan that we know and agree on. PLEASE TAKE THIS AS URGENT. We are in a crisis now! This plan needs to be done even in spite of what the new $800 billion plan is doing. We are now developing the full financial plan that is full of hard cold facts. The only way this country is going to change is by the people and it cannot be a slow movement. I worked in China from 1993 to 1998 and an old man told me that they only take one step at a time, but when 1 billion people take a step the whole world notices. If we do the plan that we are putting together it will fund the energy that we need here (from our own country) and we will start our economy as a wave that the world will feel. It is a $4 Trillion package and it not only pays for itself it will pay back our national debt and make our 401K's solid again. WE NEED TO START TODAY AND NOT WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW. I hope to hear from you very soon.

Can anyone remember the days of S&L, junk bonds, Citicorp, Enron and Viacom? Now we have Freddie Mac, Fannie May and AIG. This coupled with the mess in Afghanistan and Iraq, and all our manufacturing gone to Mexico and China. For the price of the bail-out of AIG,we could most likely build one or two wind-powered turbines, per household. How about conversion kit's for the car's to the natural gas. I believe they're only $3K each. I know most of the People's Gas fleet in Chicago runs on it. The only answers coming out of the politicians are to drill in Alaska or middle-class wallet's. I sent some money to the "We" campaign, to pay for the commercial they're running, but I can't see anyone who cares. It's just so much fun to worry about the size of J-Lo's ass.

Sir,
I'm glad you guys are getting started on this wind idea. Believe it or not, on one of the FOB's I worked in Afghanistan, Army set-up a wind powered generator to charge the batteries for the radios, to show the locals the way to get the electrical power.
I disagree with you about the country going bankrupt. It will happen much sooner, thanks to our media and political leaders. The "agent for change" was the second biggest beneficiary of Freddie Mac and Fannie May political contributions. The latest bail-out they are proposing is in the amount of $70 billion, which calculates roughly about $140 thousand per each taxpayer.
Why won't they spend the money on alternative energy? Because they're bought and paid for the "big business".

Change to a Better Design in Spark Plugs, a little like changing light bulbs, easy to do with an impact for all. Spend $40.00 - $50.00 now and save $200.00 per year on fuel.
