Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
None. I just have a huge gas guzzling foreign-made SUV that I can't sell. I want to travel but I can't leave my house due to gas prices. Something has got to change .. . . and FAST. This 2014 crap is for the birds. What's going to take you so long?????
What excites you about this campaign?
I think windmills are pretty! Sell them as the next Statue of Liberty or American Flag. They will mean the same thing . . . our independence, our liberty, our pride. I can help you with Marketing if you want!!! It's all in how you "spin" it . . get it?
What do you want to do to help?
Marketing. I'll even move back to the god-awful state of Texas to work for Pickens on this one. And I'm a democrat!

Invitation to join NW Renewable Energy Group
I have started a Regional group, welcoming comments, ideas, and suggestions for Renewable Energy in the NW Region. Including states from the Pacific, Cascade and Rocky Mountain areas. I realize that some of my Pickens Plan friends are outside this region, but you are always welcome to join and add your thoughts to the discussion. We should be looking at best available sources of energy in our region, and ways to improve the power grid to transfer energy from region to region as it is needed.
Robbie,
TRANSPORTATION is the master key to basic survival, and the cornerstone of the economy. We all know that transportation presently depends on oil production, and oil production is peaking. We must focus first on transportation – it is the highest priority. The PickensPlan to transition vehicles to natural gas is a great start toward 100% energy independence, but is a stop-gap measure till we can transition to all electric transportation. Electric energy is strained without adding transportation demands; so we must drastically improve efficiency .
Evacuated Tube Transport (ETT) is a patented technology where travel occurs without air friction or rolling resistance (like “Space Travel on Earth”); ETT can accomplish 50 times more transportation per kWh (or carbon credit) than electric cars or trains. ETT is silent, low cost, safe, faster than jets, and is electric so it can make maximum use of wind or PV power. I invite you to visit my page to learn more about ETT
Robbie:
As far as your sentiment as to "what can we do NOW", I've got some answers. Building wind farms takes time and money. However, you dont need to be a billionaire building wind farms or a wealthy person putting up solar panels and buying the $100k tesla car to make a difference RIGHT NOW. I wrote a blog entry about all the little things we can do to reduce our energy use (and therefore oil consumption) on an individual level. Check it out if you have the time, and let me know what you think. http://push.pickensplan.com/forum/topic/show?id=2187034%3ATopic%3A193424
