Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
None at this point but I understand that it is something we need to do as soon as possible to keep our economy strong and to reduce our dependence on foreign oil.
What excites you about this campaign?
The potential of reducing our dependence on the OPEC nations and of being held hostage by these nations.
What do you want to do to help?
I want to make a difference and help spread the word about alternative sources of energy.

I got your name from the "slow down to save gas and money" group. (a group I joined recently)
I've been doing a bunch of reading online, and have found out that there are a bunch of ways we can all reduce our energy use (and therefore oil consumption) on an individual level. Smarter (and slower) use of your car is only the start.
I wrote a little blog entry on the subject... If you have the time, check it out... http://push.pickensplan.com/forum/topic/show?id=2187034%3ATopic%3A193424 Drop me a line and let me know what you think.
I'm trying to talk to as many people as I can in order to continue to add to my list of ideas as far as how to conserve more in my daily life (and also share what I've learned)... I believe that while we build and invest in large-scale solutions, we can also do a bunch of little things in the process.
Robert--
Welcome back to SC (soon)--I'm in the upstate (Anderson), and very new to this effort--But I think we can make a difference that needs to be made, and I hope you'll hit the ground running here soon--
In the meantime, bloom where you're planted--we need a nationwide push to overcome the inertia--Good Luck, Keep the Faith, and Stay in Touch--wm
Robert--Thanks for joining the South Carolinians for Energy Independence group--I hope we can create a force for positive change in our state and country--If we can spread the word and help us convince our fellow citizens, elected and appointed officials of the need to address these challenges now, I think we'll be doing some good work--Thanks again, and Good Luck!--wm
