Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize

Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:

I have none but lately I have been trying to get my friend and family to help promote the coal to gasoline program.

What excites you about this campaign?

Someone with political clout and money who is willing and able to do something about the energy crisis other than talk and accept the fact that we are being held hostage by the oil cartel in the middle east.

What do you want to do to help?

I am open to suggestions.

Now, where do we go from here? How do we get the nation to switch? My idea is to start with all government vehicles switching to natural gas, then it would start a national trend to this alternative fuel.

Not an organizer, but if I may, we are sitting on Billions if not Trillions of CUBIC
FEET of Natural Gas right now and in California and Utah they are running
there vehicles on Natural Gas for about 65 Cents a Gallon Equivalent. Almost
everywhere you drill you will run into either Natural Gas and/or Methane in
this country, why deep mine, it's expensive and hazardous, when Natural
Gas is plentifully and earth friendly. Think about it.

YOU CAN ALSO HELP BY BRINGING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN the site today, so that we can build a voice big enough that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who are trying to derail this historic effort.

…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONSWe need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy. If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.

Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, your area, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input. If you don't see a group that speaks to your interest, then start a group of your own.

However since the democrats are blocking drilling offshore, we can't drill there. I understand someone has already discovered a giant natural gas pool in that area, China will probably benefit from the discovery. I saw a program on Mega Movers of them recently moving an offshore platform to off the coast of Texas. Tom

If we replace our coal fired power plants with wind, solar and Nuclear, we could use our coal for gasoline as one of the sources for our automotive energy needs. The total solution will be a combination of all of our current efforts plus the future of electric cars and hydrogen fuel cells. This country runs on energy and if we are to continue to be the world leaders we must put an all out effort into this endeavour.
