- I think this plan wouldn't be getting any traction (unfortunately) if it were not for Obama winning the Presidency...under Bush I think the government would have actively resisted it. Now that we have a real President coming, I think we have the possibility for real change!

The Army needs your help!.
I am assisting our Regional Leader Micah Lauer with organizing efforts till a District Leader is found.
I'm excited you joined and looking forward to working together in getting the Pickens Plan front and center.
Please check our group page on a regular basis to see all the activities occurring that need your action.
Now is our opportunity to get the citizens national grassroots movement with local strength to finally end our country's dependence on foreign oil, expand renewable energies and jump start our new green economy.
The Army is Strong, lets get moving!

We are a voluntary community of individuals who are placing our combined support behind T. Boone Pickens and his efforts to send our government a clear (heard) message that we must reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil through the use of all domestic energy alternatives. This site is a place to interact with fellow Pickens Plan supporters, keep up with events and opportunities to help get more involvement.
Please, I ask the first sites you visit to get accurate info and articles to see pretty much what the plan is about and where the plan stands. Some are long, please; take the time to get all the details.

Mr. Obama has voiced that eliminating the dependence of foreign oil is a top priority.
[Click here], to enter your zip code and be paired up with members in your area. If you want to be a leader for your area, you can also sign up on that page. If you would rather wait on a leader role, that’s ok we need helpers. An organization cannot be all chiefs.
There is a group for almost everything. The Forums/discussions on this site are many and you’ll probably find something that interests or concerns you. Some are very long and were started months ago. For the ones that concern you, please keep in mind, events are remembered and relayed differently by those commenting, which as we all too well know equals at least three sides to the event.
After you have read the sites I mentioned, if you need anything else to help you, while you help the push, please stop by. I am proud to put my efforts towards this cause.

I am asking everyone to please take petitions to school or work or wherever you are going today! Everyone wants to get off of foreign oil; we just need to gather their names. Can you help with a small task today?
Would you please print off a petition, get it signed and fax it back? We all know 8 people (there are just 8 names per sheet) who want us to get off of foreign oil. We need to build our numbers. It is an easy ask- Boone has done the hard work. Will you do this small thing to help? It will help your district, too.

Welcome and THANK YOU for joining the Pickens Plan. I just wanted to let you know that a real person out here appreciates you taking that first step.
After you've had a chance to settle in, please let me know if there's anything I can do to guide your path. The basic first steps are reviewing the current topics in the Forum, and when you are comfortable, letting others know about the website. The people here are interested in making the plan a success and those you invite should be able to see for themselves that this is the right place to be.
Here are further steps you might consider.
- Sign up to lead or help on the District page.
- Visit the My Energy page and get involved.
- Work your contacts to increase press coverage.
- Write to congressional representatives directly.
- Use Pickens Action buttons or call (202)225-3121.
- Speak out for ending our dependence on foreign oil.
- Write letters to the editor of your local paper.
- Download flyers/etc from here or here.
- Download the Petition and ask others to sign it.
- Start a company to build wind turbines/solar panels.
- Start a financing firm to invest in those companies.
- Tell everyone you know about PickensPlan.com.
Decide for yourself what you can do, but definitely do something.
