Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
Years ago I worked to develop ethanol for motor fuel grade alcohol. This expereince culminated in the construction and operation of the largest corn to ethanol facility in the world at the time, 60 million gallons, at South Point Ohio.
I also spend some time working with flywheel techonologies in conjunction with NASA. This was to be used on the Space Station as a replacement for the batteries for energy storage. One of the contractors I worked with, University of Texas, Center for Eletromechanics, developed a flywheel as part of a hybrid bus. There are many advantages to using flywheels as an energy storage device. In addition the magnetic bearings used to levitate the rotor would have applications in wind turbines, to decrease frictional drag as well as increase reliability and life.
Currently I am putting together a project to introduce wind technology to a Caribbean island. We have gone through a prefeasibility analysis and find it to be a viable project. We are working toward a Phase 1 which wil consist of a demonstrator wind turbine to evaluate the overall performance data. We want to move to phase two. We are alos looking at the possibility of developing a "Green Energy Technology Center" that will investigate strategies to make the islands self sufficient. We believe that the investment in wind here is good because of the high rates for power and abundance of wind.
I am also working with a company that has developed a unique wind turbien for distributed systems and buildings. It is on the order of 10 kw. The uniqueness of this technology is the small footprint, fact that it will produce energy as low as 3 mph and the design is pleasing to the eye. We are proposing initiating a research and manufacturing center in NW Ohio and are starting with the Third Frontier and whatever else we can find. It will initiate with research on manufacturing processes for the composite blade and hope to team with the National Composite Center.
What excites you about this campaign?
Finally someone is stepping up to the plate to address the critical needs of our country in terms of energy. We need to stop the export of our hard earned money and establish an infrastructure that is self sufficient.
What do you want to do to help?
You tell me. I have a master's degree in engineering, 25 years as a NASA consultant and am embarking on the above mentioned project. I have technical know of the situation as well as experience in business palnning and raising capital.

Hi Robert
Can't we have a chain of Conversion Stations to make converting to Hydrogen or CNG more common? People would jump in and convert if it was made readily avail. Who do you know working on that kind of project?
Diane
Glad to be of help, looks like you are talking with alot of my friends, do check out the fund we are creating, keep me posted on your progress, let me know if I can ever be of service, and of course, Have a Windy Day! Sam
need $110K startup capital to secure one of the last Dutchman Enterprises dealerships and to begin manufacturing HAFC kits for the dealership.
