Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:: My specific experience with alternate energy has been limited, i have known that it is a subject that our country should be taking a lot more seriously for a long, long time. In my career i have worked with many cross sections of business, many rotating equipment manufactures, everything that turns requires energy, i was in this field for over fifteen years, i have built homes, every home i built was classified as a five star energy efficient home. I now own a small publishing business employing about twenty people every thing we touch in this business is effected by oil and energy prices. Last but not least, back in the late 1970's when our government was pushing nuclear as the answer because we had an oil shortage i was against it. I felt the vision was short sighted and that we had no safe way for containment. I back then organized town meetings and local debates on the subject, so i guess in summary i have always been involved in the business of energy related issues, i always knew that it would take a crisis on our hands to get people to react, the biggest alternate energy source that we have been missing are the people to get involved collectively to help make a real difference to move our government in a direction of creating the right energy policies.

What excites you about this campaign?: The thing that motivates me the most about this campaign is that the most rare alternate energy source has been tapped into, and that is the energy of people . Collectively we can make a difference, not only in America but the rest of the world.

What do you want to do to help?: I want to help build an organization that can effect a positive change within our system. One that will not only touch our lives but one that will have more long lasting profound impacts on our children and many generations to come.

the first form is just a few lines for your information, so they know who is submitting the new supporters, then the second page is where you input new supporters. It really just takes a few seconds per name!

(input the three lines of your info and then a short form pops up) New supporter's name, adddress and email are fine. I never give the phone number. If someone does not want to give you email, do not let that be a deal breaker - some folks just feel uncomfortable about that.

I also tell folks that Boone will send them periodic updates - concise and informative- and that he does not share your information.

Thank you for joining the team. There are some really good folks here. The key is to grow our numbers to the many millions. Withe many millions of supporters we:

1. give Boone a big huge hammer and a seat at the table. ie. the Energy Suimmit tommorrow

2. Change the paradigm of thought on energy in this country forver. Thomas Friedman has told us that only large, loud and consistent grass roots efforts can effect permanent change.

Please bring as many folks as you can to the party. The simplest way is to gather the name, address and email of friends and family that support the plan, and manually input them at TAKE ACTION. I will forward you the link.
I have gathered over 650 since August. If you add just a few every day it adds up fast. When you get to 100 we would be honored to have you in hte 100CLUB, You can see these two groups at the group page. Both are featured groups.

A member of a groupd I founded, called the Welcome Wagon, will be along soon to give you other thoughts on how to get involved. Please tell them you are a friend of mine.
