There is a Honda GX dealer in Austin, but you should probably consider an aftermarket conversion. My Ford Focus kicks the snot out of the GX, is loaded with features and costs less.

I inquired to Senator Cornyn's office about his support for the Natural Gas Act. A staff member called me and I was happy to explain our position. A few weeks later I received what appeared to be a form letter about the Stimulus Bill.
H2 is only now 35% of N-Gas only because of less development but refueling plants can be built in most location and in homes.
This is not a home grown concept and all i'm saying is let's not stop here because at the rate gas is being used we will find our selves in the same mess we are with oil.
In the late 90's GE under grant provided fueling stations for the Dept. of Energy
to test hydrogen Fuel Cell Cars in DC. This is why I feel the way I do and I have seen how this can work today.
With in 6mo. a city the size of Austin can have hydrogen and if the DOE would let those who are converting autos to run on H2 you could have converted to H2 three years ago.
I am not puting down CNG but just saying we can move faster.
ANY MOVE IS BETTER THAN NONE
Thanks for the info. I looked into the fueling option for my condo. However, I have a 2002 Subaru Forester that I plan on driving for a very long time. I drove a Toytoa Tercel for 18 years.
Ronnie, I appreciate the comeback and the information you provided. I am interested in developments on CNG conversions and new cars if possible. I do have a problem with the home refilling aspect in that our gas fuel at Belterra in Southwest Austin is propane.
Would appreciate more information on development of fueling stations in the Austin area.
I'd use electric, but natural gas is not for me -- My husband and I were promoting and producing fuel cell cases (polycarbonate) in the 70's - what do you know...now the belts have tightened again, it's back in the picture. Who has more sunlight for fuel cells than Texas? Free power!
Ronnie, I am power wheelchair bound, so I have a Toyotat minivan with ramp. Keep plugging CNG so that folks like me can have a CNG option. Our governor is weak on CNG but we need this alternative.
