The two-year, $5.3 million investigation by Interior's inspector general found workers at the Minerals Management Service's royalty collection office in Denver partying, having sex, using drugs and accepting gifts and ski trips and golf outings from energy company representatives with whom they did government business.
The investigations exposed "a culture of ethical failure" and an agency rife with conflicts of interest, Inspector General Earl E. Devaney said.
Between 2002 and 2006, 19 oil ma…

Thanks for asking, very easy to offer tangible help.
1. Go to THE PLEDGE
http://www.pickensplan.com/thepledge/
2. Download 10 copies (download button is blue box on right hand side)
3. Fax back the ten signed copies to the 888# on the bottom of the pledge.
It is very easy - Boone has done the hard work. I tell folks that I am collecting signatures in support of T Boone Pickens Plan to get us off off foreign oil. The brief pledge is very well written and self explanatory. I do give them a small card with the PP adress on it so they can pursue more information and join the plan online. I share witht hem that the site is the largest alternative/renewable energy site in the world - true.
Because my fax has been on the fritz recently, I went to the UPS Store to fax in my 10 Friday. The new store owner and his wife signed the pledge. Husband was well versed and very supportive. He had meant to sign up online, but had been too busy. There are so many folks like this out there - we need to gather their names and get them counted.
I look forward to hearing how it goes. We have the 100CLUB for those that fax/send in 100 or more signed pledges. I was able to get over 400 in just 4 days. Everyone wants to get off of foreign oil.
Have a lovely day, Rose. Pleasure to hear from you.
Best

The clock is ticking. Both Thomas Freidman and The Gang of 20 have told us (see DAILY PICKENS) the only way to change America's energy policy is to build this historical, grass roots effort to un-ignorable heights. There are less than 75 days until Inauguration Day. We must concentrate on the job at hand. CAN YOU GET 10 signed pledges faxed in asap? Many hands make light work.
PLEASE,
Kim
Still here?
You were so wonderful - we still need you!

Glad to connect with you again! Need your help.
I know that we are friends, and you get email updates from me, however, I think this is so important, I am reaching out personally.
I AM CREATING A "100 CLUB"... members that have faxed in 100 or more signed pledges. So many thousands of people signed onto this site and said they would do "anything" or "everything" to help. Here is your chance!
We have the mechanism to build our numbers, we need to use it. Pledges are a very easiest ask- Boone has done the hard work. All we need to do is hitch our wagon to his horse and plow to the finish. I have sent in 240 so far. The office has recieved thousands, we need millions.
It comes down to.... DO WE HAVE THE FORTITUDE to really go the distance on this? I sure hope so. We aren't asking folks to take up arms. But, THIS IS OUR REVOLUTION. And we have a very small window to get it done. I would like your help.
Are you able to help us fight for this? Are you in?
Best,
Kim
Just 10 a day for 10 days! For our energy future, isn't it worth it?

If you like it forward it to others.
Part of the answer to this whole problem is to make all states energy deregulated as Texas and New York are. Give people a choice of switching to green energy through their energy provider. Deregulation leads to choices, incentives and lower prices, as these two states show, and the website illustrates specifically, with real world prices you can check on from many providers.
In regulated states, there is no choice and utilities have a monopoly hold on everything. They will not change, or if they do, it will take another fifty years. They have a strangle hold on everyone and will not let them go..it feels kind of like being in Egypt back in the Old Testament days. Consumers are powerless and helpless for the most part, and are dictated to by oil companies and utilities who buy their carbon fuels.
By contrast, if customers have a choice, as they do for long distance service, then they can switch FAST. Consumers can easily switch to a green energy company that supplies all of their power from wind for example.
Consumer demand will drive the green market as well as investors who will supply it to the demand, rather than utilities freezing everyone out of choice and forcing everyone into extinction due to burning carbon based fuels and 10,000 years of buildup of toxic radioactive fuels.
The only thing left is education, which means that green energy providers hire sales people who will educate first, and then sell green energy to consumers who are truly AWARE and making an INFORMED choice.
We cannot wait another thirty years for the government or anyone else to save us. We have the power NOW to change things, today.
Especially for those living in Texas or New York it is possible to switch to green energy today, without building anything and without buying expensive panels, towers, etc., using links below.

I have met Wayne Huizenga but he would never take my call.
It would be pretty cool to stage a concert wraped into a energy summit. I have partnerships with Honda(T. Boone owns one and must also have a relationship with them), Sirius XM Satellite Radio, Inc., Wal-Mart amd many more large corporations.
I could help on many fronts but how do we get T. Boone?
What about during the South Beach Food and Wine festival. I belive that it is in October and draws 75,000 people. I am sure people would travel to Miami but it wouldn't hurt to have tens of thousands more already in the city - that we could draw from.
What do you think?
Jeff
