Gog et em. please tel me how it is going. I am yet to find one persone who does not understand that we need to get off foreign oil. We just need to gather their names.

I sent a letter to friends and associates yesterday and have already gotten 35 positive responses. Here it is:

Can I please submit your name as a supporter of the Pickens Plan? We are trying to gather over 1,000 new supporters from RI before Inauguration Day. I am available to answer any questions you may have. If other friends or family members support it, will you please include their info as well.

The Pickens plan is simple and doable. At current gas prices we spend over 400 billion a year (much of it we borrow from China) on foreign oil. (when it was higher, the number was 700 billion, it will be there again soon enough- OPEC has already told us that.)
Picken's plan is to:
1. Use American technology and renewable solutions for electricity. Wind, solar, geothermal, hydro, etc.
2. Use CNG (natural gas) for transportation fuel, especially trucks, buses and municipal vehicles- 40% of our needs as a country. Batteries will never be able to move 18 wheelers. CNG is cleaner and less expensive than foreign oil, and it is ours!
3. Boone is an "all of the above" guy, as long as it is an American solution, and the money stays in this country.
I am working on a national effort to gather millions of supporters to insure that Congress supports our efforts to finally get this countyr to be energy independant. Brazil has done it....why can't we? Cheap oil has gotten us here, but we must finally end it. Our economy and national security depend upon it. Some say our very future could be affected.
We could become net exporters of renewable energies and ride this horse out of the economic trough we are in. We have a very limited time to make this work. Call it a perfect storm, led by a titan of commerce who is leading this historical effort to make sure we get this right.

I did not know that our state does not support any plan that will save homeowners money. unfortunate . sometimes I am inclined just to burn wood, but that is alot of trouble and time consuming.

This year I have helped so many members learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about power use, conservation, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my energy costs. BTW, oklahoma: I just posted an article about Home Wind Systems in oklahoma. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "soft policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. You should read that article, important.

Well as they say (the large lady voiced the end). Neither candidate openly gave his support outright for our plan. Both knew about it and to a degree felt the intense support behind it. It goes back to another old saying, on the political platform be careful how far you put your foot in the door.
There is a group for almost everything. The Forums/discussions on this site are many and you’ll probably find something that interests or concerns you. Some are very long and were started months ago. For the ones that concern you, Please keep in mind, events are remembered and relayed differently by those commenting, which as we all too well know equals at least three sides to the event.
