I drive a Prius and built a solar house in 1979.

What excites you about this campaign?

We have to take care of our kids and their future. The Repulican plan only focus on their own life time, not the future.

What do you want to do to help?

I want to see the USA reverse the order of what is our primary and backup fuels to where we start using our fossil fuels as backups, not primary sources. I want to be able to invest in companies that help make that happen today and a government that understands this has to start now, not in 50 years.

The one we built was passive solar and at the time we didn't have a lot of choice where we could build in our price range either. It cost about $10,000 more than it would have without the solar. Today, we have a lot of shade around our current home which helps with the cooling costs, but without cutting down trees, I'm not sure we get enough sunlight to make solar an option. I think there still might be a better case for solar hot water, or tankless hot water. I

I looked at solar as a means of powering my home back in 1970
but I was between the Army and finding a job and to tell you the truth, I just couldn't afford one then. But times have changed and now I"m just waiting for them to come install mine. Do you still have a solar system on your roof or in you yard, with the rise in electrical prices in NLR I'' bet you wished you did if you no longer have one.
