Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:

My boyfriend & I have dropped our consumption by purchasing a Chevy Cobalt & get around 40mpg. Our other less efficient vehicles are just for the special occassions. We wish we could have afforded an alternative energy car, but it still 3 times as much as the Cobalt. I use to work for Atlantic Richfield in the early 80s & remember their R&D to search for alternative energy, but we still had cheap oil & plenty of it.

What excites you about this campaign?

WE CAN DO IT!This is good for us as citizens, our country, our world, our future, our children. We can't be blind anymore. The time is now.

What do you want to do to help?

Spread the world. Put pressure on our government for support. President Kennedy challenged us as our mission a country to landing on the moon in 10 years. Let's challenge our government to sever our foreign oil dependence. This is our first step. As a nation, we have always have the ability to do great things.

Thanks for becoming involved with the Pickens Plan.

Pickens Plan is helping Americans see the light when it comes to transportation using Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). I am envious of your proximity to CNG refueling in Racine. I could refuel my 2007 Honda Civic GX (CNG) at WE-Energies - Mobil at 717 South Sylvania for significantly less per gallon of gas equivalent (GGE). It is so easy for someone in you area to get involved in the Pickens Plan transportation solution.

We need to work on our movement toward solar and wind for home power as well. And I will be happy to let you know about events in your area that support these efforts. Are you aware of the MREA Energy Fair near Stevens Point in June?
