Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:

I am very interested in ways in which solar, wind, biomass and other forms of alternative energy can free our dependence on foreign oil and halt global warming. I have been monitoring information on this over ten years.

What excites you about this campaign?

What excites me is the combined use of media, internet and social networking. I am also excited that there is an established infrastructure to support the campaign and it does not rely soley on volunteers and grassroots.

What do you want to do to help?

I would be willing to support a local organization in Lawrence, Kansas, a town which often provides thought leadership in issues related to the midwest.

We here in the area south of Manhattan have been in the trenches for 6 years fighting for net metering, wind and solar integration etc. Many good people have left the KGS and the several energy committees simply because of so much silliness taking place politically in Topeka regarding wind and solar alternatives. Charles Benjamin caused almost irrepairable damage to our pursuits here in this immediate area. MIke Hayden is no friend to Wind Energy anywhere..nor is Ron Klataske...Nature Conservancy seems to now think they own and control Kansas. Just a heads up on what's been learned over the past several years.
