Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
My experience is limited to research and promotion of alternative fuels and means of public and private transportation. Mostly I try to inform the misinformed or misguided individuals on blogs and letter to the Editors of local newspapers. I'm currently completing my degrees in geography and political science with these degrees I have learned many aspects of this debate.
What excites you about this campaign?
The number one item that excites me about this campaign is that if this campaign takes hold and moves forward that our nation will become less reliant on foreign sources of energy. Closely second would the positive environmental impact this plan would have.
What do you want to do to help?
I would like to become an organizer for this effort but need more information on what is needed, for example, time, materials needed and money. I have extensive experience in organizing political and social campaigns along with advocating change to local and state leaders.

Thanks Ryan, my sentiments exactly, America's energy future is a non-partisan issue affecting all of us. In the past 8 years, we have not made any progress towards energy independence, and the current economic collapse is a testament to the failed policies of the current administration. Our future economy, the impact of global warming and our nation’s security are all tied to our oil dependence and our need to pursue alternative renewable energy sources. I do give T. Boone credit for coming forward with the Pickens Plan. It is essentially the same as what is proposed by Al Gore and wecansolveit.org in resolving our global warming issues. These two issues are inseparable. As we move into energy independence, we must address the issue of global warming and provide a complete solution. Obama's energy plan is also essentially the same as the Pickens Plan and does address the issue of global warming. I believe we can benefit from the knowledge and support of T. Boone Pickens and the Pickens Plan. But this is a non-partisan issue, and perhaps T. Boone should consider this as well, since the record of the current administration is so appalling, you are right, he should be donating to both parties. After all, I believe he did say that although he is a registered Republican, he would be willing to work with whichever candidate is elected President to help secure our energy future and independence. Perhaps T. Boone should put aside party politics that could jeopardize the Pickens Plan and provide support to neither candidate. Since he has already made a donation to the republican candidate, if he made equal donations to each, that would be impartial. And as this is so critical to our future, he should really support only the best energy plan of the best candidate and put party politics aside as he said he would. I do support the Pickens Plan, but not the politics, and will continue to support the Presidential candidate that I feel will provide us with the best chance of enacting the Pickens Plan, an energy plan that will provide us with energy independence and help solve global warming issues.
