yep! I wish folks realized that price at pump is barely in the top 5 of reasons we need to get off foreign oil. Number one, hey, we are spending 26.4Billion, with a "B" a month for something that we CAN replace with our own resources. Keep that $ he…

Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
On July 8th of last year, I found myself where I had never been. As a Realtor, I had little prospect of providing for my family as I had anticipated. My mind went into action mode. I keep current on news like never before. While watching CNN, I saw T. Boone Pickens speak out in his commercial ad for pickensplan.com. I felt compelled to join in the fight for a transition in energy use in the United State of America. With no background, I entered the online site. I had never much gotten into the virtual world. But, I felt a purpose for good. In little time, I was a featured member and got the opportunity to speak online with many around the country and around the world about a subject that I knew little of, but had a passion to learn of. That was a year ago. Since then, I got involved. Although with no income, I gained knowledge, many times from the leaders in the industry. This was all on my own dime, an investment of mine own. I traveled, I attended seminars and meetings. I just asked questions, made contact with the people who truly had the answers and I listened, (and if you know me, I told what I knew and the feeling of need to do something to promote renewable energy use in our country). I have talked to lots of people. Even now, I am in conversation with people who can employ me, employ me in a job that can be my passion. How great is that. Yes, it has been a hard year. It has been a hard year for many. This is the most traumatic time in the economy of the United States. That makes it even harder to obtain the capital so desperately needed to fund companies involved with renewable energy. Also, our politics at this time is so turbulent. So many who are now in public office have lost sight of the reasons they entered a position to serve the people. Money and lobbyists have taken over. When, the ones that are in charge are the American people.
What excites you about this campaign?
Pickens Plan is based on a transition, one that requires our participation. Do you think Boone would have contacted us and spent the money on such a tool as the web site pickensplan.com if he didn’t need something more than what money could buy? He is a prudent business man, so I think not. He realized that it takes the American public to make things happen. Over the past year we have been asked to contact our elected officials, contact media, and contact our neighbors. Let’s get back to it. We need to educated people first, that can be done through the web site by reaching out, and it is a social network. I have gotten just about every questioned answered that I have ever asked, just by making a contact. Learn. Tell others. I attend meetings all over, not just pickensplan.com related, but many renewable energy supporters. Guess what, I don’t agree with many of them, but I have the foresight to see we have common goals. I try to spend little time in debate and more time in action forward. For example, I do not believe that we have the part in climate change that is being promoted by many, I believe it to be a natural cycle. I believe in less government, less waste and the Fair Tax. But, ya know what, it doesn’t matter so much the reason, but what matters is the outcome. The only hurdle is the politics of it all. You see as I said before, there are many politicians that have their own agendas. Thus, all this transition becomes a very slow process. We have to look to our leaders, support the ones that have our best interests in mind. We have to speak out to them, at times, maybe even educate them. We have a great resource in pickensplan.com by contacting those who can answer the questions we can not. Pieces of legislation continue to be written and presented, let’s make sure we are educated on them. If there are things that need amending let’s put in our opinions. Bottom line, let’s stay involved. I can remember a couple of hand fulls of folks on the web site that put in so much time, inspired so many, and created an excitement about the cause of renewable energy. Let’s spark it back up. We have to stop using foreign oil. Let’s have respect for others and a drive to a final goal, energy independence. Fitting at this time of year, just before July 4th, we reenergize the Pickens Plan Army. The focus can not be what we will get out of our time spent individually, but what this movement will bring to our future. It is worth the volunteer efforts. I have hope for my future, I will not let things get me down, it only pushes me forward with more intent. I know that looking for the best for my country’s future will supply the resources for my own. Volunteer efforts are needed and appreciated always, more than you know. I know there are more folks out there just like me. Let me know your story and lets communicate on what needs to be done, that is how we overcome hurdles and make this thing work. It is up to you, one person at a time. My direct email is samfleet1@yahoo.com, or contact me through pickensplan.com or facebook. Let’s reenergize! Our energy future is up to us.

As a home inspector & currently studying of Healthy Home ,Enviromental,Energy Efficient Homes I have discovered that we all waste energy .Letting ourselves and our kids leaving lights or other resourses on while not using them, the lights on in a room not occupied or water not being run with no one present for use. We all must take responsibility for our actions. We all must be accountable for wasted energy.Through pinpointing,pre-vention,elimination, we shall overcome energy dependance on foreign supplies. We overcame all obstacles in the past an shall in the future. We are Americans . United We stand ,United We are one to resolve

Hi Sam,

Yeah, I drop in here now and then to make trouble :-) and then I go back to work. Then again, a guy I really slugged it out with is now a pal here. Lots of what I deal with is shocking and heretical to what we're all conditioned to accept, and so it takes clear breakdown. Rather than bother with that, I just throw the information out there and have fun now and then tossing up vids and other troublemaking visions....and those interested digest it fully or as fully as possible. Those who aren't move along. I make new pals here and there. Amplify our capacities.

All is explained on my profile page here. In greater detail at SnowLabs.net or the Tube channel. There's a lot more fun we can do in Energy Independence, but, in the level of things I chase, the barriers get more complicated politically and some technical. But, there's still niche areas my industry can serve where the others can't. We don't have to compete with things like solar and wind or even oil to do comfortable business, so marketplace adoption is really up to the People, demand, government needs, etc. Our stuff is pretty much sold when more complete and the surplus tech I just open-source for the world to run with. Stuff to think about and enjoy.

Nice to meet you,

Stan

Sam,

Sorry you didn't get on the show today---there will be another time. Please tell your people that Boone will be on next week, the following week we have Dea Riley who is running for Lt. Gov. state of Kentucky. Let's try to get John Oxendine on again in the next month or so. We appreciate the telephone calls. With your help we will keep energy, the natural gas act, and the Pickens Plan story out in front.
