- I have no experiance with alternative energy but, I am passionate about putting in systems that will drop our energy high rising prices and at the same time HEAL MOTHER EARTH.

- That someone has to where with all to take these ideas and makie a movement for our crisis.

- In the early hours of a Sept. '08 I was half asleep and half awake. When I have these times my brain starts thinking and there is not rhime or reason as to what subject it chooses. This day was about MOTHER EARTH AND OUR CURRENT CRISIS. Later that day I still could not get it out of my mine. I am not a genius on the computer but, I set out to put my thoughs into action. So, I ended up putting together an ad campaign idea. Print ad, poster etc. I would like to send you the proof that I have on my computer. I am not asking for money or anything in exchange except to be a part of something wonderful that will leave a positive carbon foot print behind after I am gone on to the universal energy heaven. So, if you can send me a place to send it I will gladly send it to you. It is pretty much a first draft and it is not written in stone but, hopefully it will strike a cord with eveyone that reads it. I would also like to do something from get involved or help organize. I am on disability and have quite a bit of time on my hands. Time that I could help in making great strides for our cause and I am passionate. I am Joe Six Pack or a plumber!! I was raised in the country and then after discharge from the Air Force I moved to washington. I want to help.

I have found that petitions are the best way to spread the word AND sign up supporters.
Here is HOW TO TURN THE PLEDGE INTO A PETITION!
I find it easiest to take one pledge, cut off Boone's lines under the pledge and add a sheet of lined paper under the pledge instead. I put NAME - ADDRESS - EMAIL across the top and fill in the first line to set the format. Most are more willing to sign where others have already done so, rather than the single pledge at a time approach. Everyone understands a petition.
I ask if they would "sign this petition in support of T, Boone Pickens energy plan to get us off of foreign oil?" Hand them the clipboard so they can read it. I do not require the signers to give me their email if they are reticent - don't let that be a deal breaker - some just do not want to give it.
Check out the 100CLUB group page to see how others have accomplished the task. (it is the first goup on my page) When you send/fax in 100, let me know, we will gladlyinvite you to be a member of the 100CLUB. Your leadership on this will inspire thousands!
There are over 150 people in the pledge challenge that I know of right now. Surely, there are many more that I am unaware of, as it is in many greetings. Those 150 willl bring 15,000 new members. If each brings just 5 friends, these 150 will be responsible for 75,000 new members.
This is the approach that works best for me - I tried many. Hopefully, this will encourage you to take the challenge, too. CAN YOU HELP?

while you are awaiting feedback from the Pickens team, I would start my own mini-viral campaign...start a buzz locally in your area by going to meetings and events...distributing your materials about the pickens plan...hopefully it includes our email address and directs folks to the website.

I personally just tell people in person about the plan, when I can. I have some business cards I hand out too. However since I am home 95% of the time, I generally do everything online. I sent emails to my officials and the candidates, but I'm very careful not to bug my friends. This send email after email to "everyone in my address book" is spamming to me.
My point is, just do what you are comfortable doing. Let me know if I can assist you in anyway.

EMAIL A LETTER TO YOUR REPRESENTATIVES BY USING OUR EASY RED "CONTACT CONGRESS" BUTTON - - With little effort, we have the ability here for you to send a letter to our Representatives in Washington and Governor, too.
Go to THE PLEDGE (at the very top of this page on the blue header) On the top of the pledge page there are three rectangular buttons- two blue ones and ONE RED BUTTON, that reads "CONTACT CONGRESS" . Fill in the short, standard form. Done!
YOU CAN ALSO HELP BY BRINGING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN the site today, so that we can build a voice big enough that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who are trying to derail this historic effort.
YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE PLEDGE on the Main page. Print out 10 or more of them, get them signed and fax them back to Boone ASAP. This is how we build our numbers fast! Be a leader, be a part of the "100 CLUB", by faxing in 100 signed pledges. Let me know when you are done and I will see that you are added to the list.

Contact and "Friend" the New Energy Army Regional Leader for your state. You can find them to the right, in the Featured Memberssection. Let him/her know that I sent you there and you are interested in becoming an organizer.
THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.
PICKENS U has been formed for college alumni and university students to get involved. If you are or know of a student who would like to become an ambassador to help coordinate the pledge drive, please submit names to Pickens U site (found on the Main page). This would look good on a job resume.
PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not
1) increase our membership nor
2) influence public policy.
If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.

Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, your area, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input. If you don't see a group that speaks to your interest, then start a group of your own.
