I have started a Regional group, welcoming comments, ideas, and suggestions for Renewable Energy in the NW Region. Including states from the Pacific, Cascade and Rocky Mountain areas. I realize that some of my Pickens Plan friends are outside this region, but you are always welcome to join and add your thoughts to the discussion. We should be looking at best available sources of energy in our region, and ways to improve the power grid to transfer energy from region to region as it is needed.

Welcome again to Idaho District group 1 (ID-01) we have the western side of the state so our members are all over.
I'm excited you joined and looking forward to working together in getting the Pickens Plan front and center.

Now is our oppourtunity to get the citizens national grassroots movement with local strengh to finally end our country's dependence on foreign oil, expand renewable energies and jump start our new green economy.

We are a voluntary community of individuals who are placing our combined support behind T. Boone Pickens and his efforts to send our government a clear (heard) message that we must reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil through the use of all domestic energy alternatives. This site is a place to interact with fellow Pickens Plan supporters, keep up with events and opportunities to help get more involvement.
Please, I ask the first sites you visit to get accurate info and articles to see pretty much what the plan is about and where the plan stands. Some are long, please; take the time to get all the details.

I am proud to put my efforts towards this cause. Mr. Obama has voiced that eliminating the dependence of foreign oil is a top priority. Look up your local leader from map on home pg.
There is a group for almost everything. The Forums/discussions on this site are many and you’ll probably find something that interests or concerns you. Some are very long and were started months ago. For the ones that concern you, please keep in mind, events are remembered and relayed differently by those commenting, which as we all too well know equals at least three sides to the event.

Boone has met with Obama's transition team - the President- elect is intent on getting us 100% off of foreign oil in less than 10 years. This is fantastic! WE MUST give the new President the "muscle" he needs to show Congress that the American people are squarely in support of this and will accept nothing less.

We must get this done before Inauguration Day and give Obama the support he needs, AND INSURE that our representatives, special interests and lobbyists can not derail this effort. We must be louder and stronger. Thomas Friedman has said, only a huge grass roots movement will cause the revolution in change that we seek!
Take a petition to work... or school.... or wherever you go.
In the last few days I have picked up 68 signatures from various stores while doing my Chrismas shopping and another 16 at the gym, as well as 2 new army members - one who has vowed to get 100 signatures on her own. EVERYONE wants to get off of foreign oil! It is an easy ask- Boone has done the hard work.
