Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize

Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:

Professionally, I used to work for Siemens Automotive developing Natural Gas fuel systems. Personally, I have investigated putting solar panels on my house and done some initial research into starting an alternative energy business (i.e. selling and installing solar panels and small wind generators for people’s homes and small businesses).

What excites you about this campaign?

The part I find exciting is that finally someone is “kicking the sleeping dog” by stepping up, logically and clearly identifying the problem of our dependence on foreign oil, and laying out a clearly defined solution. But, the part that really revs me up is T. Boone’s final comment in his first commercial of “It is our crisis and we can solve it”. I think this statement captures the spirit of what made America great and motivates me to take action myself rather than looking for someone to act on my behalf.

What do you want to do to help?

In addition to getting the word out and promoting the plan, I think the largest obstacle will be getting people familiar and comfortable with the new technology so they will buy new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles or convert their vehicles to bi-fuel or dedicated CNG. I would like to organize opportunities for people to experience Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Vehicles in how the drive, are refueled, the extensive benefits of CNG (e.g. fewer oil changes, cleaner for the environment), and learn about purchase and conversion to CNG options.
