- I can write. I have during this past Spring I have written like 5 or six emails to Senator Bill Nelson of Florida. Maybe with the help of this plan is to get Winter Haven and Polk County Fleet on Natural Gas. This would take years to accomplish. Coal fired plants is our energy .There are very few Natural Gas lines used in Polk County. Dryeres, stoves, heating units mostly are electric.

I am writing this directly to you, without everybody reading it.
Your opinion, expressed in organizers and leaders, is not exactly science based.
We usually hear from research Institutes and University scientists - - in peer reviewed scientific papers - - about facts regarding global warming, and what causes it. Nobody in the scientific community argues over it any more; IT IS AN ESTABLISHED FACT.
Then we also hear from others, mostly people who are connected to the polluting industries, and they often spout - - on what scientific basis? - - that global warming doesn't exist. One of those "experts" - - often seen on Fox news - - is actually a comedian.
Just two comments (from an SUNY, Stony Brook) scientist:
a) If the polar caps would completely melt, water would rise, and most of Florida would be under water.
b) As a matter of fact, plants (mostly trees) and oceans are choking on the extreme CO2 excesses; presently they can only balance 54% of all the CO2 produced, leaving us (in the US alone) with a DAILY excess of 16 Billion pounds of CO2.

The stars have aligned to create the possibility of a paradigm shift that is and has been urgently needed. We have an angry citizenry due to pain at the pump, a presidential election on the horizon, and a man with a plan to dramatically and imminently reduce our dependance on foreign oil, and provide a bridge to future solutions, who has the resources, contacts, knowledge, wealth and "will" to get it done.
Please share this plan with your circle of friends, family and associates. Urge them to JOIN. As you know, it is simply like signing a petition. With large numbers of supporters, we can put pressure to bear on Congress to incentivize alternative and renewable energies, and insure that our future president will be a leader that will push for domestic energy solutions. JFK once said. "in the next 10 years we will put a man on the moon". He got it done. We need that kind of leadership on energy.
Time is of the essence. If gas prices retreat the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost. How frightening to be looking back and apologizing to our children that we could not get this done when we had the chance.
