Knock! Knock!

Spent the weekend surfing the PickensPlan.com site trying to get a little more familiar with the navigation of the site.

Emailed all my connections and shared group members encouraging them to complete an online survey that lets me keep in touch a little easier than through this site. I'm very pleased - 3 people logged into it. Considering how cold the District is I'm pleased. See the site at http://unhub.com/cuyc

Local schools

I called the 5 schools and left messages for 4 Superintendents. The 5th said he was interested and asked me to call him back after school starts! Excellent!

What qualifies for energy tax credits

The Columbus Dispatch in Columbus, OH had a great article by Liz Kersjesin in the Sunday, August 2, 2009 paper about what qualifies for energy tax credits yesterday.

Licking County Schools - Johnstown, Heath, Granville, Licking Heights and Lakewood

I wrote five letters and mailed them to five school Superintendents in Licking County - Johnstown, Heath, Granville, Licking Heights and Lakewood schools. The goal is to set a meeting with them in order to discuss the PickensPlan.

I'd like their blessing to meet with the science and social study teachers in the hopes those teachers will included a discussion of the PickensPlan in their classrooms.

I'll keep you posted as to the results.

Thanks so much for all you do Sean. So glad we have you here in Ohio. I imagine Mr. Pickens is glad you're here too. How is your work with the students going? Can we ask them if they would like to do a job for the Pickens Plan in Ohio?

Hello Sean,
You are certainly doing impressive work in Ohio that motivates us all. Wayne Bowser and I are State Leaders in California, and I help a bit on the Leadership Segment of The Green Revolution Show. Mr. Pickens and many other high profile guest have been on the show. Recently we had State Leaders from Maryland, Florida, Georgia, Utah, and California to discuss natural gas and Pickens Plan. Would you be willing to come on the show? Please contact me at 760-961-1312 or jwnobles1@verizon.net.

Thank you,

John

Okay - not my most brilliant moment. In the middle of my 6 mile run tonight I realized it was Beggar's Night in Johnstown, OH. All the businesses in "downtown" were open passing out candy, families were out with their kids and people where milling about. It dawned on me what a great opportunity I was missing to recruit members for the PickensPlan movement on the Nat Gas Act of 2009.

Won't make that mistake again!

Isn't natural gas a non-renewable energy source? I don't even have gas in my home.

I would love to help but am heavily involved in another project currently. I am trying to put a real Walden Two together and it will be "green": in every way possible. We are in the early stages and could use a Planner to aid us in best uses of energy and building materials to price the community for a construction standpoint. If you would like to contribute your time and knowledge, that would be brilliant! and I will in turn help you in whatever way possible.
