Went to a Linkedin Networking Meeting and talked about PickensPlan...

...left with 10 signatures to the HR 1835 petition.

Hi All,

Went to a Linkedin Networking Meeting in Columbus, OH and was allowed 60 seconds to talk about the PickensPlanto about 15 people. After my brief spiel I had plenty to talk about the rest of the night. If I go to one networking event like this per month I'd have 120 new members by the end of the year...plus emails and other chances to engage their support.

Plus I had a great… Continue

Knock! Knock!

Spent the weekend surfing the PickensPlan.com site trying to get a little more familiar with the navigation of the site.

Emailed all my connections and shared group members encouraging them to complete an online survey that lets me keep in touch a little easier than through this site. I'm very pleased - 3 people logged into it. Considering how cold the District is I'm pleased. See the site at http://unhub.com/cuyc

Local schools

I called the 5 schools and left messages for 4 Superintendents. The 5th said he was interested and asked me to call him back after school starts! Excellent!

Hi Sean,

This is Jon Hand, NY-05 District Leader for the Pickens Plan. We spoke on the phone last Tuesday morning, and you mentioned you had a colleague in PA who works in natural gas that might be able to answer some questions I have about hydraulic fracturing. Would there be any way you could put me in touch with her? Thanks!

Thought you might be interested in taking a look at the Idaho National Laboratory facebook site. We do a lot of energy research including wind, solar, nuclear, natural gas, biofuels, etc. http://www.facebook.com/idahonationallaboratory

Sean,
Thank you very much for your generous contribution to The Green Revolution Show. Your comments regarding the older, technology challenged sector of our society was well received. Your knowledge of marketing and social networking will help many in the army. Congressman Ryan, Veronica, Jim and you really did Ohio, and Pickens Plan proud today! When we do this again, and we will, I hope to have my voice back.

Thanks again,

John

Hello Sean,
You are certainly doing impressive work in Ohio that motivates us all. Wayne Bowser and I are State Leaders in California, and I help a bit on the Leadership Segment of The Green Revolution Show. Mr. Pickens and many other high profile guest have been on the show. Recently we had State Leaders from Maryland, Florida, Georgia, Utah, and California to discuss natural gas and Pickens Plan. Would you be willing to come on the show? Please contact me at 760-961-1312 or jwnobles1@verizon.net.

Thank you,

John

Okay - not my most brilliant moment. In the middle of my 6 mile run tonight I realized it was Beggar's Night in Johnstown, OH. All the businesses in "downtown" were open passing out candy, families were out with their kids and people where milling about. It dawned on me what a great opportunity I was missing to recruit members for the PickensPlan movement on the Nat Gas Act of 2009.

Won't make that mistake again!
