Profile Information

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
My interest in alternative energy technology started in1992, learning of my great uncle Herman’s self sufficient farm in Wyoming through the 40s-60s. The farm ran off of windmills for electricity, wood for heating, and methane for the farm equipment. I first started my experimentation on my family’s certified organic vineyard outside of Greenville, TX. My first experiments were with solar and wind on a small scale. My greatest success however, was making alcohol from the left over seeds, skins, etc… to power my dirtbike. I made several gallons of pure alcohol, the dirtbike ran excellent and the exhaust smelled like grapes.

In college I documented the process for presentation of alcohol from biomass as a fuel and how to add it to gasoline as an inexpensive alternative. I however, was escorted out for bring flammable substances to class. I presented the presentation later using PowerPoint. Over the years I’ve built several small scale windmills, methane generators, solar heaters, heat exchangers, various types of fireboxes, and solar RC cars.

I disappeared from the industry for a few years to build engines and custom and classic vehicles. During that time however I build an induction system for running gasoline or propane off a nitrogen and oxygen compressed gas mix for underwater applications. (It was awesome, compact, and very powerful.) I also worked as a Manufacturing Engineer for 3 years for a company that had over 90% of its business in surface oilfield exploration, distribution, and communication systems.

I ran a business in alternative energy by myself for a little over a year as a manufacturing resource and supplier of key components serving experimenters, auto shops, and a university. My conclusion: TEAM WORK leading this industry DOES take an army. The public is way off in their understanding… it’s sad really. Alternative energy is an industry severely misguided and misunderstood.

Most recently I’ve been researching and experimenting with hydrogen systems, syngas, and synthetic fuels. All my research and experimentation brings me to a defined conclusion: Natural gas is an excellent answer to our energy needs, or at least an excellent alternative to traditional liquid fuels as we develop other clean energy systems.
What excites you about this campaign?
I’ve been more of a lone ranger over the years, but these days I’m eager to turn my long term passion into something big, I want to make an impact on our energy independence. I’m looking for people to network and do business with in the industry. There is so much potential in the alternative energy industry that should be implemented main stream.
What do you want to do to help?
Be part of a group leading implementation. Training a team to offer sound application, demonstration, and support. The Pickens Plan is very exciting, I want to be part of this movement. My career background is in manufacturing and engineering; however I have a degree in business management I am familiar with a wide range of systems. I’m more than ready to serve.

Harvest Time

Every seed takes time to germinate.
So too in the fields of the soul.
We must never give up and sow
because the results do not
immediate to our eyes.
Let us wait with patience.
In the right moment, the seeds
have driven in the soil of hearts,
there will produce mature fruit.
Understanding and sow Joy, Peace and
Courage, Forgiveness and Love.
Jesus bless you have a good night.

We all need to do our part by beginning at home with our energy usage. We also need to keep hammering our elected officials to allow companies and the private sector to run with new tech and needed infrastructure changes; allowing grants & incentives to help us achieve the energy independence goal!!!
There is a group for almost everything. Type any word of a topic that you would like to see. Do not be afraid to go clickin crazy!!!

The Forums/discussions on this site are many and you’ll probably find something that interests or concerns you. Some are very long and were started months ago. For the ones that concern you, please keep in mind, events are remembered and relayed differently by those commenting, which as we all too well know equals at least three sides to the event.
