Peaking Generators

A really good combination would be natural gas plant that could ramp up when the wind dies down and during peak hours. We need to be thinking of many different kinds of smaller generators that can kick in as well as multiple storage capacity areas. That way we can move slowly to more efficient small generators and battery storage instead of the total gridlock we have now.

We need to lead

Are you amazed that our "leaders" have not led in this area? I'm a conservative Republican (in that order) ... and don't want the eco nuts to run the country ... but, wow ... do we ever need someone who actually will lead ... tons of us use energy ... it would seem like a good area to be a leader in ...

Lock step sources and distribution

Wind only works if you are supplementing a running power generator and REDUCING how much fuel you burn. It will not work as a stand along source. It has to be done in lock step with other forms of energy and distribution.

It will be interesting to see how this develops. It is good to look at the destruction that a totally government run network does by looking at China. We should look more to the Native American roots of this country and the farmer roots of this country to see that we need to have both private ownership and good stewardship. It should be okay to plow a field if some rat does not move out of it. But the farmer ought to have a tractor that is not too expensive or pollutes too much. We should work on developing new chemicals that are less harmful to the surrounding but still give good crop yields. But we should not stop something like DDT that helped save millions of lives until we get something equal or better to replace it. Just think of the millions of deaths the eco freaks have caused by banning DDT. We need to move forward with the wisdom of someone who has walked the land and loves it but loves his family enough to not let them die today.

I have had many conversations about the lack of leadership in our government. What have they been doing? Maybe just making back room deals to line their pockets. I wonder if more "citizens" should try running for office. Or perhaps the community of good ol' USA folks just need to turn up the volume to get our "leaders" to listen. This seems like a good venue to make that wake up call, don't you think?
