Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I really don't have any. I moved to Arkansas in May and bought 5 acres. My first thought when arriving here was to find out how to put wind turbines on my property to provide my own electricity. I found out from OGE that I was not allowed to do that in the state of Arkansas. I was floored. So, I have been sending letters to Sen. Mark Pryor trying to find out why this is.

Hello Stacy, I can help you with wind power, you can have off-grid from just a few appliances to the whole house. What they are not letting you do, is connect to the grid probably, that's not a deal killer. The pictures here, off-grid, powers my garage with lighting, refrigerator, workshop. These new rooftop mount home wind turbine kits that I am building are great. The profile is pretty sleek and attractive. The system is actually a home appliance and doesn't really stand out much more than an antennae, chimney, or satellite dish. This makes a nice clean way for homeowners to get into the clean energy movement. The systems are inexpensive, easy to install and scaleable.

These systems have wind/solar built right in. The wind is stronger in the winter months, sun is stronger in the summer months, we designed a system that is attractively priced, that gives an even flow of energy year round. Wind power scales down in size to be perfectly feasible for a homeowner sized system to provide power for their home. Many customers have found it easy to become wind turbine customer/dealers. They are able to do this with no further investment and they see how easy people are to get interested.

I have used them to save money on my electricity costs and Stacy, you could too. The systems pay for themselves in 5 to 10 years depending on your local wind resources, and they last for 25 or 30 years before needing a rebuild. Have a look at these windmaps and see can you pinpoint what number your area is in. 2 is OK and anything over 2 is very good. Let's double check your wind resources are good.

Welcome, and thanks for joining. We don't need money- Pickens is paying for this, but we need people. It is about numbers right now. We need a million members to join before elections to show Congress we are serious. Please get your friends to join. We must stop sending 700 BILLION dollars a year to people who may or may not be our friends. Friend me if you like, and join one of the groups. It's too bad you aren't allowed to put up turbines. Check out the small generators group link on my page, they have a model zoning code to allow it.
