While I'm not against nuclear plants per se, with solar energy there is no mining or enrichment of uranium, no fuel rod disposal problems and no recurring costs for storage, containment, water cooling, safety training, etc.

- What excites you about this campaign?
- Getting off foreign oil will decrease our expenditures, increase our security and create good paying, permanent jobs
- What do you want to do to help?
- Blog, lobby local (GA) legislature to keep incentives coming for solar and alternative energies. HB 473 is a great start but is capped at $25 Million in grants/credits.

Georgia passed HB 473 on Earth Day - promoting alternative fuel use by business
GA took a huge step to wean businesses off foreign oil this Earth Day by subsidizing the use of alternative energy. Gov. Sonny Perdue signed HB 473, which provides grants up to $100,000 for solar thermal and $500,000 for Photovoltaic systems, as well as similar incentives for energy efficiency. The only caveat is the grants are capped at $25 million, and will be given on a first come, first served basis. I am a machine designer by trade and have my own business. Persons have contacted me in the past several years to help them develop their ideas for alternative power production for the home use. I believe all three are valid---gravity, magnetic propulsion and another I can discribe better on the phone. Call me if you have some help or know of someone who can.

We are a voluntary community of individuals who are placing our combined support behind T. Boone Pickens and his efforts to bring to light; a clear heard message that we must reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil through the use of all domestic energy alternatives. We cannot afford put this on the back burner again! This site is a place to interact with fellow Pickens Plan supporters, keep up with events and opportunities to help get more involvement.

Everyone has the option on their profile page to do many things. Everywhere it says (Edit) click and you can customize.
Find (settings) upper right corner of your page. You can update your profile, change the manner you receive things. You can chose to preview the comments coming your way before it can be viewed by others on your page. You can accept or delete the comment.
Also; every time you write a comment you’ll see a little tiny (symbol) of sort in the upper right corner of that comment or post; click on it and delete your note. You can still do it months later.

The Forums/discussions on this site are many and you’ll probably find something that interests or concerns you. Some are very long and were started months ago. For the ones that concern you, please keep in mind, events are remembered and relayed differently by those commenting, which as we all too well know equals at least three sides to the event.
