Thanks for the link. It looks like this link applies to new vehicles. I have a 2003 V-6 Ford Explorer, which had a "sticker" mileage of 21/gal. when I purchased it new. It gets 21 only when it is towed for 7 of the 21 miles or 33% less than Ford advertised. I don't know how CNG compares to gasoline, but if I could get comperable miles per $, I would seriously consider a retrofit.
Saw your post on Ryans page. Check in with Joe Maddalone. He has gbrought dozens of universities into the fold of Pickens U, through his high school friends!
He organized the TImes Square rally, too. Great guy, may have some ideas for you. Please tell him I sent you.
Steve,
I'm driven to offer all advice on energy, political and economic topics that I can so no problem here. As with most others here, I'm still a student but the learning has increased pace lately. Be sure to check out the short by pointed blogs on my PP page where I put the root issues behind this crisis. I think you'll find yourslef in the "aha" crowd when reading them.

A message from John C. Oelund to all members of Pickens Plan District Group WA-08 on PickensPlan!
WA-08 Members,
Steve Wilmorth has stepped forward to be WA-08's Technical Group Leader. Steve will be a Member of the Steering Committee, and provide assistance to other group members on Pickens Plan details. He will be keeping a "Pickens Plan Q & A" discussion group going, so please send the tough questions to him, and he will research as need be, and post a response. He will help with speech contents (and may be speaking himself) and be available to review any group materials we release.
Steve has many years of business leadership, and has a lot of fascinating knowledge relating to politics and local events in Washington State relating to energy plans. Did you know we have big plans for wind right here in the state?
thanks Steve. Quick question, who moderates this site? and do they work for this plan or they are just volunteers? i think there has to be more moderation so we can all stay with this plan and be more productive in this endeavour
