- I drive a Prius, use the new light bulbs as each incandescent one burns out and will heat my home with a pellet stove this winter. I recently purchased 6 grocery totes $1 each. What a difference. They hold way more than plastic or paper and for me (4 family members) they hold enough for 1 weeks worth of groceries. Just some advice, after you empty them put them right back into your vehicle.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- Together we can do this! This is the real change I have imagined, not just lip service.

Like tidal and wind etc. I think the chain of thoughts was connected to Susan Collins supporting Pickens plan. Check out my thoughts and let me know what you think. I'm new to this site and would like to hear more/be involved more, with alternate energy initiatives in my area.

Both Thomas Freidman and The Gang of 20 have told us (see DAILY PICKENS) the only way to change America's energy policy is to build this historical, grass roots effort to un-ignorable heights. - It has been a while since we kept in touch last!
We are now over 1.2 million suporters. We will need many more if we are to beat back the damn lobbyists and special interests. Can you help with the pledges? Every American needs to sign on. With pledges we can fan out and reach so many. It is an easy ask- Boone has done the hard work. I was able to get 300 signed in the first 4 days - everyone wants to to get off of foreign oil. We may never have a golden opportunity like this again!

Brandy Jo Fontenot LeBlanc Miller (Dem-CO) said… - we DO have some things in common, we switched to the CFL bulbs, and I use reusable green grocery bags (whole foods) and I really like them since they dont rip and tear or have to be "double bagged" I also dont put my fruits and veggies in plastic. (i just put them right in my basket! I carpool with a guy that works with me that has that Ford Hybrid, but it only runs on battery when you are in "the neighborhood" and going like under 45 mph.. it switches to fuel on the highway. Im involved at work in raising awareness on recycling and energy conservation ... lets talk about the fun stuff!

- i agree this is not the place to push my bias political position. thanks for giving me that link to john mccains energy plan too. I will definitely read it. Why then, is it okay for you to send me the mccain link, but when I post an energy plan link its "pushing my biased political position" I even stressed learning about both candidates. Lets put that behind us and move forward in our common interest in the pickens plan. Im watching the debate now.

- why wouldnt you want to go to the website and review obamas energy plan prior to the debate? even if you support mccain, wouldnt it be beneficial to know what BOTH candidates propose for their energy plan? http://my.barackobama.com/page/content/newenergy
We may not agree on who should be our next president, but I think we both agree that a smart energy plan is a priority, no matter who ends up on top!
