Today is July 23, 2008 I have added 17 people in just 2 days to this website just by making calls and a few emails! Everyone matters talk to them and they will come.
This is our future everyone is worried every person matters we need everyone on this website to back MR. Pickens!

Another email from SF Bay Area.We had a dry Nov,Dec,and Jan so we are playing catch up on the rainfall the last 2 months and as you might know our Govenor Arnold Schwarzenegger declared and Emergency for the State on Rainfall on Monday.Where I live a little north of SF in Marin County we are up to 90% of our usual for here,which is way better than many places.
I tried to pay some attention to the Energy Conferance in Washington this last Monday Feb 23.Harry Reid a leading Senator will write legislation for new power transmission lines and Dr John Chu our new energy secretary has some ideas about inverting the power from AC to DC and burying the lines to both reduce the cancer risk associated with high power overhead lines and in to possibley streamline the approval process.I am so happy that Obama and company are embracing a responsible Energy future for our country.Thanks for the friendship,in the SF Bay area we have an alignment of the SF,San Jose and Oakland Mayors in wanting to install an electric car infrastructure a group called Planet Better Place is organizing.Along with the infrastructure improvements,Planet Better Place organizes "virtual oil fields"where the Energy for the electric cars is created in renewable power plants.It is something I am new at being involved with,it is exciting because the entire countrys of Israel & Denmark have infrastructure work going on already as other places like the countrys of Australia&OntarioToronto,Canada along with the State of Hawaii are making plans.From a distance I am so proud of T.Boone Pickens I will email him occaisionally to tell him as much.At the conferance he was so excited to be sitting between VP Al Gore and Energy Secretary John Chu,both Nobel Peace Prize winners,however i was thinking .....keep it up T.Boone and you will have a Nobel Peace Prize as well.

Last year I helped so many members of Pickens Plan learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about conservation of power, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my electricity costs. Send me a friend request a to add me Join, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.
BTW, Texas: I just posted an article link on my pickens page about Home Wind Systems in Texas. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "weak policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. Texas has created multiple sets of rules for loopholes and you have less rights than people in other states. You should read that article, important.

I see the ART of home making! That being expressed, I want to invite you to check out the Artists Round-Up group Susie Homemaker.
Because I knew of no other way to do this on this site I decided to create the project in the form of a group. Although, at least in it's beginning stages, the group is really more of a roster for artists to sign in and make themselves know to each other and to all those who are involved in the Pickens Plan than it is an actual group. It is possible though, and not unexpected, that it perhaps will sooner or later evolve into being a genuine group and doing and having as a genuine group.
For now though, I both invite and encourage you to at least go and check the group out. Once you see the set up you'll know whether it's for you or not. And if the purpose of the Artists Round-Up group does not indicate to you maybe there are others you know who might be interested. In such a cirucumstance I would, of course, appreciate your telling them about the group.

Not sure how I have not run into you yet. I would call myself,
Kimthepissedoffentrepreurmom. Hope you friend me. I am putting together a group of the leaders on this site to really run with the petition as soon as it hits... soon. I founded the welcome wagon to personally greet the last 100,00 new members. I am doing a dry run of a petition, easily got 200 signatures in a few days with minimal effort. THIS is how we are going to push the needle on this historical effort. Join me!

* Provide multiyear tax incentives for renewable-energy production and energy-efficiency projects.
* Set national mandates that would require utilities to get at least 20 percent of their electricity from wind, solar and geothermal energy by 2020.
* Add and updating the building code to require energy-efficiency measures in the construction of new buildings and the renovation of existing buildings, and setting a goal to reduce buildings' energy use 50 percent by 2030.
* Set prices for carbon-dioxide emissions and creating a program that caps emissions from different industries and allowing companies to trade emissions allowances.
* Upgrade and expanding the nation's electric grid to enable it to support electric cars and the transport and storage of renewable energy.
* Provide incentives for utilities to invest in energy-efficiency technologies.
* Increase the fuel efficiency of cars and trucks and investing more money in private-public partnerships that would develop transportation systems that rely on little or no oil, such as electric cars.
* Provide incentives to consumers and small businesses to buy plug-in hybrid cars and alternative fuels, including natural-gas-powered cars.
* Invest more federal dollars in cleantech research and development, including ways to capture and store carbon-dioxide emissions from coal-fired power plants.
* Speed up the process of setting aside public lands and improving the permitting process for renewable-electricity projects on public lands.
* Shift from ethanol made from corn to ethanol made from wood chips, agricultural waste and other nonfood feedstock, and encouraging a joint U.S.-Brazil partnership to turn sugar cane into ethanol in the Caribbean.
