- Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
- not so much with alternative energy but more with conservation practices. We have long practiced fuel economic trip planning, and keep our cars maintained for highest fuel efficiency possible. Our next vehicle will be purchased with energy efficiency in mind. We use natural gas to heat, and have a timer/thermostat so that it runs less when we are away from home. WE also have switched to energy miser appliances computers and lightbulbs. We know more needs to be done, and are dismayed at the current lack of options
- What excites you about this campaign?
- That someone is implementing a real plan. There is a lot of talk and hype about energy, greenhouse gases etc, but little action. The research has been done and short and long term plans have been set into motion on a small scale as a model for proof of how well the concept can work. I also am of the mind that it is we the people who hold the keys to the solution to this problem. And we need to remind Congress that they represent us, not the other way around in this matter.
- What do you want to do to help?
- I like to write, so helping write articles locally or in internet based forums to promote and encourage others to not only think about ways to be energy savvy, but to also take action in a positive realistic way. We need a different voice then the negative ones we've been hearing from the government and the press.

You can help. The first step is to join our local congressional District Group SC-04. It is the only way we can organize our community and leverage our strength. Then, you can search for members near you and invite them to join our congressional district group as well, and personally ask people you know.
As a district leader, my job is to coordinate our efforts. Communication is the key to success.

I am a friend of Dan's and saw your comment on change coming slowly. Here is the best way to speed it up. I truly hope you will try.
After you get your friends to join the site, and send your letters off to Congress....I hope you will work to join the "100CLUB"... for members that have faxed in 100 or more signed pledges.
PLEDGES are the vehicle that can drive our numbers, we need to use them! It is a very easy ask- Boone has done the hard work. All we need to do is hitch our wagon to his horse and plow to the finish. I have sent in 280 so far. I have 48 friends, that I know of, who are working on the challenge. By the end of the week that will be 5,000 new supporters of this plan- 4 times the number that joined the plan online this week.... with just 49 people!
IMAGINE what we could do if everyone that said they would do
anything they could to get this done, joined the "100CLUB"
It comes down to.... DO WE HAVE THE FORTITUDE? I hope so. We aren't asking folks to take up arms. But this IS our revolution. And we have a very small window to get it done. Would like your help.
