- Alterntive energy requires alternative thinking. For the last several years I have been studying all the different alterntives. Green living, free energy, etc.
Solar is great but the cost of a solar system that would support the average house of 1500 sq. ft. and 4 people would be so cost prohibitive ($25,000 plus installation costs)that those who do go with it do it on principal, because dollar for dollar the electric company is comparable if not cheaper.
Building green is a big part of the solution.To design our homes to function on less energy. Even our cars can be modified to use less energy.
We still have to look to modifications to conventional homes in the here and now. For conventional homes passive heating, passive water heating, solar fans, insulation, solar ovens, etc. This is technology that is available in the here and now. Pricey still, but here.
Wind and solar power alone are not enough to turn the tide. We have to learn to live on less and to make the most of the energy we have. We have to become energy pinchers.
Everything from the bottom up is going to have to be modified and directed towards change.
Currently the cost of energy efficient alternatives is so expensive the majority of Americans cannot afford them.
Cost...always cost is the main drawback for alternative energy at this time.

- What excites me about this camapign is that Mr. Pickens would spend the money to go on television and tell the truth.
- What do you want to do to help?
- Not sure yet. Physical energy like mechanical energy is a commodity. I want to study the site some more and see where the profit and energy of these wind turbines are going. I have many questions before I could be a good helper.

Last year I helped so many members of Pickens Plan learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about conservation of power, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my electricity costs. BTW, Texas: I just posted an article link on my pickens page about Home Wind Systems in Texas. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "weak policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. Texas has created multiple sets of rules for loopholes and you have less rights than people in other states. You should read that article, important.
Tammy to answer your doubts about this sytem I'll start with , yes. Your husband, and your electrical technicians are correct. Some homes might not see much of a change in their electric bill. However some residential client's have had a 30% savings. The difference is multiplexec. How does your electric company charge you for your electric ? ( real power or poor power factor ) this question must be answered to realize a savings.What does all that mean . We correct for a poor power factor, this is wear you would see the electric savings.This is a whole system surge protector, (somthing that you'll need if you do the wind system) and a harmonic filtration sytem. the next item is how energy effecient are your appliances and your home. Older homes will use more power, older appliance use more power. If you have a newer home, newer appliance's, you can still see a saving's it just won't be as high as an older home , you have already taken steps to make your home as effiecent as possible.
No one else in this business has all three in the same system. We have clients such as Andrews Air Force Base, Pittsburg Intl. Airport, Budweiser plant in Delaware State, and more.
The biggest selling point of this this system is that it has the surge and spike protection, harmonic filter, but it also supports the utility system by making your motors work more effiecently. Protection of your valuble electronic's is included with this product, thier is a 25,000.00 dollars unit failure policy with tis system. NOBODY else has that for their unit .
Why we market it the way we do is simple . People that are not in the business are uninformed and confused when we start to describe the intricate details of this system. My husband works for the electric company and we have had several electrical engineers look at the plans similar to yours and they say there is no real savings there.
People need real solutions that work. All of our futures depend on it. It is wrong to exploit a need. Yes there is a need for solutions but will the systems you are promoting actually help?
I love sales...truly. There is no finer moment than to deliver something to my customer and have them smile at me as they write the check.....because they are satisfied the product and it is doing the job that was promised.
