Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
Absolutely none! That is why I want to be part of this revolutionary period. I read and follow cable TV shows which feature alternative energy and how to utilize alternative sources for running homes and businesses. I would like to see Mississippians accept the challenge to go green and to embrace alternative sources of energy.
What excites you about this campaign?
Mississippi is a mostly rural state. We have LOTS of able-bodied, hard-working people who have lost their manufacturing jobs to Mexico or outsourced overseas. Miss. has large areas available for growing renewable sources of energy, as well as creating sources in factories.
Due to its rural nature, Mississippians have to drive to everywhere - to work, school, doctors, shopping. Most communities do not have a public transportation. We need to put the Pickens plans in motion right away and I would be excited to see Mississippi be the first state in the southeast to put it in action.
What do you want to do to help?
As a lawyer/public relations practitioner, I would like to offer assistance in lobbying our legislature to embrace and enact laws necessary to put the Pickens plan in action in Mississippi. I also offer to help coordinate and organize community meetings and events to promote the plan to community and business leaders, as well as our universities and colleges. I am ready to help Miss. take a proactive stance in being 1st in the southeast, and first in the nation, to do put the plan in action.

Oh Tanya that's wonderful hopefully everyone you ask will sign. Every signature helps. I have done the same with my family and some locals. The locals are a little more difficult because they are in their own little world around here and can't seem to understand the gravity of what has been happening. But I'm still trying with them. Keep in touch
Just wanted to check in with you and see how the recruitment is going. We needed to get 500 signatures(members) before inauguration day but since we have only 5 I don't think we will make it. Have you been in contact with Gregg Harper yet? What about other lawmakers in Mississippi? It would be good to get their signatures before inauguration day also. If you go to the resource page you will be able to find materials that you would find very useful for getting more signatures. Let me know if you need help.
Welcome and THANK YOU for joining the Pickens Plan. I just wanted to let you know that a real person out here appreciates you taking that first step.
After you've had a chance to settle in, please let me know if there's anything I can do to guide your path. The basic first steps are reviewing the current topics in the Forum, and when you are comfortable, letting others know about the website. The people here are interested in making the plan a success and those you invite should be able to see for themselves that this is the right place to be.
