Getting Detroit to move would be the big win, Boone's idea of the plan coming "from the top down". Ultimately it will but in the mean time there are lots of earth-friendly people who'd like to do their part. Push all the buttons you can but if you...
This IS an interesting and new event in Florida which is why it's so important. We need to discover more of the ongoing alternative projects currently in place throughout the country. Chandrashekar has some experience in MD. There are plenty of ot...
I'm surprised Gainesville isn't more involved. Very green campus, strong green mandates. I can't make this one. Be sure to bring some cool clothing it's likely to be a tad hot and humid . No seabreeze in Hogtown.
The largest green themed event in South Florida, targeting over 10,000 attendees.
Quite simply, the Living Green Fair is about you. Your health, your prosperity, your enjoyment, and your planet. The state of the environment is something that affe...

Earth Day has the right idea--Tree huggers who understand political reality.
Thanks for writing. My work has all been about revolutionary systems for music, film, media, entertainment, etc. I'm bringing a very big event to South Florida in May and one in NYC which will bring these ideas in a very significant way.
If you can give me an email address, I'll forward you details. One of my friends in DC sent me some information about this website, so I'm pretty psyched.
Thanks Ted!
Marc, It depends on your zip code. I can check for you but I will need your complete zip + 4. If your Rep is Wexler yes, if Hastings , no you'll be in 22 I think.
We will be going over the grant application that was recently submitted, begin to work on the grant application for September and conduct the normal monthly business which includes presentation of alternative fuel vehicles in the parking lot, committee reports and new and old business. Normally, there are 40-50 people at the meeting so if you feel its worth the trip by all means come see us, if its too far to drive, I completely understand, I will fill you in on what happens.
Would you please help me out and circulate this to our district members - in a time of being Green and Energy Saving - the Florida Legislature wants to take away funding from our Tri Rail program ... there is a petition at the website listed below that everyone can send an email to their reps, affects everyone in Florida that is even thinking of establishing mass transit
Thanks for your assistance.
A Call for Help from the Executive Director
We are in a battle for dedicated funding in the Florida Legislation. I do
not use the term "battle" loosely, because we are truly in a fight for
survival. I am calling on you to support us as we need you more than ever!
We are facing reduced funding from the counties and the state legislature!
The counties cannot be faulted for their decision to reduce funding; they
are struggling just as we are. As I announced at last Friday's meeting of
the Governing Board, if the counties reduce their funding assistance and the
legislature provides no dedicated funding source, we will have no choice but
to reduce service to potentially as few as 30 trains a day and suspend
service on the weekends and holidays, as of October 5, 2009.
I know these service reductions will create tremendous hardship for those of
you who have come to depend on Tri-Rail to get you to work, school, medical
appointments or for leisure travel. Your Governor, State Representatives and
Senators need to hear about what these hardships will mean to you and your
families.
Last year, more than 7,100 of you responded to our request for help. I
cannot urge you strongly enough to let your voice be heard again this year.
To send a message of support for dedicated funding to your elected officials
in Tallahassee, log onto www.tri-rail.com/FundOrFail
I thank you for your continued support at a time when it is so important.
