BRIEF EXPLANATION OF SEE HOUSING AND ITS IMPORTANCE
SEE (Super Energy Efficient) housing is a very important concept for everyone to understand. Such homes go way beyond the National Building Code recommended insulation standards (that vary for different zones in the U.S.) They are also at the extreme end of energy efficiency, as supported by the Energy Star Housing Program. SEE standards can easily be adapted for new construction as well as for renovating older existing homes. Virtually every home in the U.S. can become an SEE home. Adopting this single concept alone can cut total U.S. energy use by more than 20% - - TWENTY PERCENT. This is ten times more than the limited potential of any new Alaskan oil fields and can begin producing energy savings within a matter of months.
The advantages of SEE housing are broad and will benefit everyone in some fashion. Individual buyers/owners of SEE homes will find they have a lower cost of home ownership (principal/interest/taxes plus energy costs) than if they had the same home built as a non-SEE structure - - ever more so as energy prices rise.
The rest of us will all benefit from 1) less pollution, 2) lower energy costs, as less energy use will mean lower prices, and 3) a much sounder U.S. economy - - in the short-term as well as long-term. In fact, converting older housing to SEE standards will begin a whole new industry in the U.S. - - SEE remodeling. As such, it will get our housing industry back on line and build up our manufacturing base - - an area of the U.S. economy that has constantly been exported. Converting to SEE housing will add well-paying “non-exportable“ jobs to the construction, distribution, and manufacturing sectors. These jobs will also be spread evenly throughout the U.S., wherever there are homes and businesses. This will bolster the U.S. economy, as the effect of every dollar added to the U.S. economy is multiplied by a factor of 10 - - ten. This in tern will also add to Federal Income Tax revenues - - again benefiting all of us.
The next question of any doubters is who will pay for the conversion to SEE housing? Well, the “smart” homeowner of course! They will initially pay a higher mortgage payment on their SEE home, but they will be more than reimbursed for those costs by their energy savings plus mortgage tax advantages. Bottom line, money not given to energy companies will pay for SEE housing, while also improving our environment, keeping energy costs down, and have a dramatic effect on improving our economic outlook.
I have proposed a major, yet simple solution to many of the problems that now face our country. What needs to happen now is getting this information out to those within our society that can really help to get this concept going. We need to get politicians on board (from the Federal to the State level), an organization like the Picken’s Plan to support the concept of SEE, and each and every one of us to understand and convince others of the value of SEE housing. All I ask of each and every one of you, that understand what I have said, is please help in any way that you can for all of our sakes?
A discussion forum on SEE is available under the Energy Party group will soon be followed up by a new group - - SEE (Super Energy Efficient) Housing. At that site, I will periodically give detailed support for all that I have briefly touched upon here.

Allen Hydro Energy Corporation (AHEC) a renewable energy startup has a US Patented Process for generating large-scale hydroelectricity from within a 70-story building by reusing the same water. It's the solution to Global Warming. Check it out at http://www.ahecEnergy.com
I'm seeking seed investment to prevent this idea from following the same faith as the electric car decades ago.

Every seed takes time to germinate.
So too in the fields of the soul.
We must never give up and sow
because the results do not
immediate to our eyes.
Let us wait with patience.
In the right moment, the seeds
have driven in the soil of hearts,
there will produce mature fruit.
Understanding and sow Joy, Peace and
Courage, Forgiveness and Love.
Jesus bless you have a good night.

Your Friend.

Ok.....snow loads are a b****. i don't much like the idea of extrapolating the graphs, so i'm using the flat panel data and calling the radius a redundant safety margin....so anyway,i'm out to the 10mm twin wall with the classic "16 on center" spacing with the 48" stock width...but then i have to pre drill evac passages though to the "inaccessible" sections....i'm starting to like the idea of cutting the stock to rafter spacing and using a router to "ride" the inner edge wall...this will allow a double rafter mortise, and consequent center "tendon" to transfer loads through to an outer rafter "cap arch".
more later....stay tuned.
PS with the cost per square foot as low as it is, i'm just figuring for a 24 hour slow cure epoxy for the sill plate seal.
got a question for ya.....
excerpt from suburban conversion project:
YAY!!!...two new members...Welcome.
ok every one....Open a new tab and copy/paste this into the search and turn to page22.
https://www.sundancesupply.com/GE-MultiWallInstall.pdf
see the 55" bend R on the 8mm double wall?..this stuff is almost flexible enough to bend into a 9 foot diameter circle...anyway it's flexible.
and see the picture of the barrel vault?...like That!
i know your probably thinking "that isn't going to hold heat"....but wait... i was looking at some evacuated tube specs and these guys aren't even pullin' one psi to the negative...then, i realized i could manifold the multi-wall,and use a venturi and a vacume gauge to pull about two inchsHg...and the multi wall wouldn't even flinch...a little more looking and i'm stareing at an easy R 40!!!!!!!
Multi wall comes in lengths up to 48 feet (semi-trailer) that's enough to span 35 feet....and iv'e constructed bomb tough arches before by laminating layers of hardboard with gorilla glue...ya get the quarter inch stuff and rip strips to your beam thickness, clamp over a form, and stagger your joints and the next thing ya know ya have a graceful piece of engineered lumber....
which brings me to a question....say ya frame a notch in the sill plate to key in your multi-wall..what could a guy dump in there that would cure slow enough to allow a decent working time, and also be affordable, and of course make for a leak proof structural seal to hold a mild vacuum?...any suggestions?
start an out line!!! work on your thoughts. not on us!
hope all is well. amy
I am back after a series of physical and personal problems. I apologise for being away for so long. I will try to catch up with everything here as soon as I can.
